C is for… Collage! 🌸🦋
Susan Clifton combined elements from the Gelli Arts® Blush Bloom and Wings in Flight Collage Sets to create this colorful 4” × 8.5” collage for today’s prompt.
“I love combining pieces from different packs and seeing how they work together—the possibilities are endless!”
Susan’s process:
1. Create a background by gel printing onto watercolor paper.
2. Add a transparent paper over the background so the paint shows through.
3. Gel print with transparent paints onto the Petal and Butterflies collage images—Indian Yellow on the petals, and Pink and Quinacridone Red on the butterflies.
4. Trim the petal images and arrange them in a circle to build the flower.
5. Add a green and purple circle to the center.
6. Trim the butterflies and arrange them with the flower and additional petals to create your composition.
7. Finish with acrylic pen dots in the flower center.
