AUDITIONS!
Carved Out's spring production of Peter Quilter's End of the Rainbow are fast approaching!

Sign up and show us your stuff!

We'd love to see you there!

TO AUDITION

For those seeking female roles -

Prepare a one minute segment of a Judy Garland song, in her style. Don’t copy her performance, but try to bring her nuances into your own interpretation of the song. Accompanist will be provided.

As Judy Garland, tell us a story. Around a minute, it can be true or made up- we won’t look for accuracy. Instead, bring your best Judy impression into your body and see how it sits in your bones.

For those seeking male roles -

Perform a one minute dramatic character monologue. Show someone completely different from yourself. Embody them, bring them in.

If you can do a higher class english accent, tell a short story, improvised or otherwise. Show us how the words sit on your tongue.

Meet Sophie Shapiro!

Sophie Shapiro is a freshman at the U studying Psychology and Theatre with a goal of teaching in secondary education. Her music taste is comprised off strictly musicals, classic dad rock, and Disney throwbacks. She is still bitter that Netflix took off all the Disney Channel Original movies, but it’s totally fine... She is very excited to be playing TRISHA in this amazing production and to join the Carved Out Theatre company in her first production with us! Five words that describe her would be funny, dedicated, outgoing, positive, and hungry.

Meet Amy Halbmaier!

Amy Halbmaier is super excited to be making her Carved Out Theater debut as GEORGEANNE. This will be the first wedding, real or not, that Amy has ever been part of, and she's thrilled to experience it with four other strong, confident women (and one strong, confident man) by her side. She'd like to thank the director for seeing beyond stereotypes and her fellow castmates for helping 'Georgeanne' find herself throughout the show. Five words that describe her are spunky, curious, crazy, lovely, and animated.

Meet Natalee Merola!

Natalee Merola is an individualized major in Musical Theatre. This will be her first production with Carved Out Theatre. She plays FRANCES in this lovely little show. A fun fact about Natalee is that she once fell into the orchestra pit during a rehearsal for her senior year musical. Surprise! She’s okay! Five words that describe her are cat-like, squishy, giggly, nerdy, and odd.

He is the father of a rambunctious corgi named Fenway and looks about 15 years younger when he shaves (which doesn’t happen often). Five Words that describe him are excitable, caffeinated, hairy, affectionate, and stan-worthy.

Meet Josie Berg!

Josie Berg is a first year student majoring in Theatre Arts on the social justice track and minoring in Youth Studies. She plays MEREDITH in the show. A fun fact about her is that she copes with stress by purchasing dinosaur related items online, such as a full size t-rex costume and dinosaur masks. You have to treat yourself sometimes. Five words that describe her are quirky, down-to-earth, a lil awkward but also spicy, and constantly dabbing.
