I'm so thrilled to have been awarded a 2026 Minnesota State Arts Board Creative Individuals Grant. As part of my grant, I am exhibiting my work at Woodland Senior Living in Brainerd, MN, as seen in the images below. I'm so grateful I will have the opportunity to work directly with the residents by leading a printmaking workshop later this spring.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Ancestral Garden (rough potato 2), a stencil monoprint measuring 66” X 18”. It is printed on layered kozo papers, unbound and hanging freely so that it moves gently in the air. This piece is one of sixteen new works currently on view at MSP Terminal 1 airport. The series explores invasive plants of Minnesota.

In addition, I’ve added lace pattern borders sourced from the Osterøy’s collection that are drawn by hand and embellished with embroidery and beads, referencing the labor of handwork as a means of both love and survival, serving both the family and a means of trade. They were symbols of life at home and became skills that were passed down from generation to generation, yet through the industrial revolution and invention of machinery, these skills quickly transformed into a prominent way of earning a living. This series honors and recognizes this labor of love. Thank you to for the community partner grant supporting my exhibition Trådar .

In my Portal series, the photographs are translated into a fish-eye lens perspective and printing them as archival pigment prints on paper transports the viewer back in time, honoring those who paved the way for the textile industry. Thank you to for the community partner grant that is supporting my exhibition, Trådar . Credits to collection and for the images I used in my research

In the Portal series currently on view , I have integrated historical photographs from the Tekstilindustreeuseum and patterns from the textile collection of the Osterøy Museum, creating an intersection between handwork and the textile industry. Transforming the photographs into a fish-eye lens perspective and printing them as archival pigment prints on paper transports the viewer back in time, honoring those who paved the way for the textile industry.
