Hope Theater Company

Hope Theater Company Hope Theater Company connects cultures by creating theatrical experiences that address our common human apprehensions such as love, loss, hatred, and war.

Founded by a group of Iranian artists in St. Paul in 2013, Hope Theater Company presents original theatrical works and reinterpretations of world classics, that speak to a modern audience. Our company address human dilemmas - such as oppression, war, enslavement, trafficking of women and children - as expressed through the vision and style of our Iranian Artistic Director and company members. We b

elieve there is a need in our local Twin Cities community, as well as nationally and internationally, for our voices to be heard. Hope Theater Company’s Members:

Hope Theater Company is proud to have had a
successful performance of "Love Letters from the Middle East" in the 2016 Intercultural Festival Laboratory of Theater Practices in Fara in Sabina, Italy. We were also honored to have performed two amazing workshops: "Intro to Combat" by Meredith Larson and "Yoga for Actors" by Emily Rose Duea.
Our Artistic Director, Kiomars Moradi, gave a lecture about "Ta'zieh," Iranian Traditional Opera. In addition, we collaborated with Teatro Potlach to collaborate with "Invisible City," a project directed by Pino Di Budo, in the last night of the festival in Fara in Sabina.
We are so grateful to have worked with many wonderful artists like Claudio De Maglio, Master of Commedia Del Arte (Italy); Founder and Artistic Director of Odin Theater, Eugenio Barba and Julia Varley (Denmark); Kamigata-Mai Dance Master, Keiin Yoshimura (Japan); Traditional Indian dancing and singing master, Parvathy Baul (India); TouchStone Theater (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania USA); Associate Professor and Director Kyle Gillette, and Artistic Director Roberto Prestigiacomo (San Antonio, Texas USA), and renowned critic and journalist Andrea Porcheddu (Italy).
