We are thankful to the entire Minneapolis community for making our voices heard clearly.

There will be no closures or consolidations for at least the 2027-28 school year.

We have made clear that we stand ready to work with all stakeholders to develop a plan that builds a Minneapolis Public School District we can all be proud of. We look forward to working with families, members, and the Minneapolis School Board to define a robust plan for recruitment and retention.

Let’s get back to the work of building the destination district that Minneapolis deserves.

At least 10 arrested at Arizona-Mexico border as 250-year-old cottonwood tree cut down for wall.

Dubbed the “grandmother tree,” it was one of several that lined the edge of PRIVATE PROPERTY along Border Road, a dirt road that runs along the border, in a remote area of Arizona.

Border Patrol agents ignored demands for a warrant as they entered the private property and destroyed tents, according to news releases from activist groups on the ground.
