Join us this Thursday, May 21st at 4-5pm in studio 205w for a free, in-person stress relief sessions led by our community member Drake Powe. Drop-in. All are welcome.

Drake blends mindful movement, breath-work, mindfulness, and simple self-care strategies that can be used during the workday, at home, in the community and beyond. His sessions are designed to help participants reduce stress, reset the nervous system, and build practical tools for resilience and well-being. This opportunity was made possible through the Minnesota Department of Health. drakepowe.com

One day away from our New Works Festival! This Fri and Sat at 6:30p. Make sure to catch Tearra and Belle in their piece Ritmos a Jogar.

Drawing from Afro Brazilian and Afro Boricua traditions of Capoeira, Dança Orixas, and Bomba, this work is an homage to ancestral technologies that hold life energy and resiliency through the cycling of dance, music, and community. As artists whose paths have diasporic threads in common, Alvarez and Oso weave personal stories shaping futurity, divine healing, and remembrance across land, oceans, and embodiment.

Resident Artists Sam Aros Mitchell and Masanari Kawahara are presenting a new collaborative interdisciplinary performance in our New Work Festival titled, "Breath Between Worlds," an exploration of cross-cultural embodiment, ritual, and performance.

This work is created at the intersection of Sam's background as a Yaqui performance artist rooted in Indigenous cosmologies, and Masa’s lineage in Butoh and Japanese visual theatre.
