Guest set designers help with styling the space for the show's theme for the month. Musicians are invited to create a theme, int

ermission and outro song for the show each month. A videographer is brought in to record the show. MGBS invites artists in the community to sell their wares during the show, at Mother Goose's oddities and rarities stand. Last but not least, every month, someone new is brought in as an extra or host of MGBS. After all, anyone can be Mother Goose. PM or email us your reel/audition audio to be considered in future line-ups

It’s time for a super special spotlight!
Introducing The Mirror Palace’s official house band, Ice Climber!!!

For this show the lineup will be:
Justin Johnson on Bass
Charlie Milkey on Guitar & Bass
Paul Schwarzkopf on Drums
Sage Ross on Sax
& special guests TBA

These cool cats will be doing an instrumental set during doors and doing walk up music through the show

“Ice Climber is a genre bending, shapes shifting, punkadelic, improvised acid jazz collective from the Twin Cities. Formed in February 2022 as a 4 piece drone group to close Rock Box at Art Shanties, Ice Climber has evolved into the sonic force it is today featuring over 20 artists in its roster. Typically, Justin Johnson on bass, and Paul Schwarzkopf on drums, lay down pummeling grooves that keep the ship on course while Xochi de la Luna searches for lyrical nuggets to lay down. The rotating combination of guitars, percussion, horns, keys, wind, string instruments, and the occasional guest vocalist make Ice Climber a true mesmerizing experience time and time again.”

It’s another spotlight time for this weekend’s Mirror Palace debut! This time we have musician, producer and DJ, .velveeta who created the theme song for the show â˜ș

“Anita Velveeta is the solo project of producer/performer Anita Bauer. It is a project that is a result of her years of playing in bands in the Twin Cities and producing albums for numerous artists. The music is pointedly genre bending and pastiche with influences from 70s outlaw country to fifth wave emo to techno and house. Her first full length album of musical collage is set to release sometime in March.”

Mirror Palace is proud to be having nomadic Performance artists and funny guys, WAM for a special performance and interview on March 4th and 5th!!!

WeAreMarried LLC (WAM) is the performance collaboration of transgender actors and longtime friends Jay Eisenberg (he/him/his) and Shelby Richardson (they/them/theirs). WAM creates and produces dynamic, original shows & events, while always remaining committed to paying trans and q***r artists thriving wages.

WAM is built on relationships. We formally launched WAM in 2021 as a public investment in our friendship, an experiment in challenging existing models of theatre-making, and a commitment to making compelling, site-responsive art that pays trans and q***r artists a minimum of $35/hr. WAM is here to contribute to a healthy, vibrant, artist economy where artist-laborers can count on us for work that sustains, stimulates, and satisfies.

WAM values financial transparency, artistic innovation, and long term partnership with our guest artists (both inside and outside of their work with WAM). Our unique business model draws inspiration from unions, amusement parks, production houses, multi-platform media companies, creative agencies, and lessons from over a decade of experience working in mainstream professional theater in New York and the Twin Cities.

Our audiences crave something as entertaining as it is enduring; as intimate as it is iconoclastic; as risky as it is rewarding. WAM delivers. Your fun & pleasure is non-negotiable. Remember: we are here to make your life more bearable.

Past work includes HOUSEF**KER (Spring 2022), BIGGAME (Fall 2022), and our beloved speed-meeting game show FAST GAY DATING (recurring). Upcoming work includes the launch of WAM-For-Hire (Spring 2023), and our third original clown show, RICH DOGS (Fall 2023).
