Happy Birthday to Loretta Swit--best known as Margaret ('Hot Lips') Houlihan on MASH (1972-1983), a role which brought her Two Emmy Awards. She was also the original Christine Cagney in the pilot film for the acclaimed police drama CAGNEY & LACEY. Had she been free of her MASH committments she would have gone on to star in the series, but that wasn't to be. She turns 86 today.
