Out on tour with West Coast Dance Explosion this season bringing her unique Contemporary styling is the inspiring Kim Wolfe!
For over 2 decades, Kim Wolfe has been sharing her love of dance with children all over the world. A native of Atlanta, Kim trained under the renowned Gary Harrison at the Northside School of the Performing Arts.
She landed her first professional job, at the young age of 16, dancing on the skeleton crew for the movie School daze, choreographed by Otis Sallid. From that moment on, she knew dance would be her life!
Shortly after, Kim packed her bags and headed out to Los Angeles to pursue her passion of dance. She became an assistant to Emmy award winning choreographer and mentor, Marguerite Derricks. She also had the opportunity to work with many legendary choreographers, including Michael Peters, Debbie Allen, Jamie King, Vince Patterson, Judith Jamison, Linda Talcott, and Adam Shankman, to name a few.
Kim has appeared in numerous film and tv shows including Aladdin, Junior, Tank Girl, Head of the Class, Matlock, Quantum Leap, The Academy Awards , MTV Music Awards, (Emmy award performance) Hall of Fame Comedy Awards, and American Music Awards. She has danced alongside artists such as Prince, Paula Abdul, Sheila E., Celine Dion, Liza Minnelli, Jason Alexander, Ani DiFranco, and opera legend Placido Domingo. She has performed in industrial shows for Adidas, Nike, and ASICS. Highlights of her commercial career include Super Bowl Pepsi, Nike, Chevron, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
