One of the hardest things about love is seeing someone who you love suffer and struggle. So why love? We love because we need to. We need connection. When we don't have it we are lost and try and find things to fill that void. It doesn't work though. Sometimes we trick our brains into thinking that the void is filled but there is nothing that can fill our need to be loved and to love. So we love. We love wholeheartedly.
