💔 It’s hard to believe how someone so full of life could be transitioning into an ancestor so soon.
letti did the gorgeous logo artwork for Wild Conspiracy, but the beauty they brought into this world and into the lives of those who knew them extended so far beyond their talent.

They were so wide awake, ready for delight, eager to listen. They caught on to the spirit of what I was going for so fast, and then leap ahead of me and offered even more artwork (the two t-shirt images to the right) because they were just that brimming with generosity. I feel really lucky that we get to carry forward a piece of their work into everything that we do.

If anyone would like to use the t-shirt designs for any remembrances or tributes (text removable) I would just ask for a donation to their gofundme to support their loved ones.

Please send love and energy to their journeying soul, all those who loved them, and - if you have the means - a little $$$ to support and beloveds’ expenses as they grapple with this tremendous loss. Had trouble posting the gofundme link but it’s in .letti ‘s bio.

Love love love to all those grieving 💙💙💙

✨❄️✨Stirring from a period of deep wintering, resting, visioning to share this exciting news —

, the composer and soundsmith for 🦌 Saber, MN and Music Director of 🐝 Queen B’s 2021 tour, is premiering a brand new body of work as a part of the Commissions next Friday, Feb 18th!

“In ‘Iconoclasm’, Carlisle becomes (as far as they know) the first Q***r Bard in their lineage in order to weave new mythologies. Through intricate song stories they explore their forebearers lives, reinterpreting stories through a q***r lens and bringing voice to forgotten or silenced ancestors that upend prevailing narratives of gender and self-expression. Drawing ancestral inspiration from Welsh legends with a dramatic flair for music-theatre, Carlisle endeavors to craft a musical mythos in which q***r descendants would feel welcome and reflected, connecting once-severed threads of past and future.”

🔥 Don’t miss this one-night only show from Carlisle, Nyttu Chongo, and Maddie Thies!

The Cedar is capping the show at 50% capacity with required proof of vaccination and masking 😷

And congratulations on this stunning exploration, Carlisle!

Hello from Dahkóta land on this .

Thank you for recent questions about how to donate to our ongoing projects! I am not fundraising atm, but I highly encourage you to donate to our Indigenous kin who have been protecting water, land, sovereignty, and lifeways. Here is a great list from .

Wishing you a season of reflection, abundance, and gratitude! ✨

✨And just like that, mere hours before sheets of rain brought us down to winter temps, our hive was tucked in for the cold months! Thank you all who wrote messages to the bees up north and in Minneapolis, our honeys will be wrapped up in yr words for the next few months 📖

Inexpressible gratitude to Mike from for showing us how to overwinter our hive 🖤 It’s tricky in Northern climates but also the most ecologically sound. Buying new bees every year or trucking them to warmer parts if the country contributes to the spread of diseases and parasites and is overall less healthy for the bees. If you really want to do your research, figure out if yr fav honey is from overwintered bees!

🌻We also almost learned the hard way this year how important fall flowers are for bees. Plant fall and early spring flowers, please please! We don’t have the big goldenrod push that more rural bees do, so every garden helps 🙏🏼

Photos taken by my fantastic hive mate, Alex ! Alex, thank you for embarking on this adventure with me! Any other q***rs out there want to learn? 🤓🙃

PS - thx Faun the cat for the photo opp 🐈

TELL THE BEES
An alter ritual for sweetening grief into honey ✨🍯

Tomorrow! Nov 5th, 6-8pm • Corner of 15th Ave S and 35th St along Powderhorn Park

I made another bee-related offering for this grief season. It’s based off of the European folk tradition of Telling the Bees about major household events: births, marriages, - and, especially - deaths. Sometimes beekeepers would even put their hives into mourning, shrouding them in veils. The bees needed grieve like every other member of the family.

I put together this little alter as a space for you to tell the bees what you need to before winter. What or whom are you grieving? What are you yearning for? What harmful cycles are you having a hard time breaking? What have you discovered about yourself that you haven’t tried putting into words yet? What are you proud of yourself for?

I’ve been making this installation as a way to give myself space to acknowledge and process my own grief this fall, and I am grateful for it. So much has happened in the last 2 years+, it’s nice to have a supportive space to reflect.

I will set up Telling the Bees this Friday, November 5th from 6-8pm near the corner of 35th St and 15th Ave S in Powderhorn Park. Stop by, sit, write, release. We will use the messages we receive to insulate our hive over the winter so don’t worry - the bees will get the message ✨

Thank you for be(e)ing in convo about this and for letting me try it out last weekend. It was an honor to hold vigil by the river.

PS - If you ordered a Queen B HONEY ticket at Franconia, you can pick up your jar from me there! 🍯

🌿It’s been one year (and one week… I’m a little belated) since I began this this experiment called Wild Conspiracy. Fully owning that WC is a Libra-Scorpio cusp!!! Feels right for a q***r performance project about finding liberatory beauty amidst collapse.

I’ve been taking this time to let the gratitude sink in deep. This artistic “coming out” felt like something I needed to do during pandemic, to speak to the mysteries that govern my work and romance my soul, as well as pay hommage to the interconnected web of artists, change makers, knowledge holders, land stewards, scientists, farmers and more-than-human kin that being it into being. Everything exists in an ecosystem, regardless of what white colonial capitalism tells us.

After choosing a name, I learned that the word “conspiracy” means “to breathe with.” I couldn’t imagine a better vision for how I wanted my art to live in the world. I want to give a deep bow to all of the amazing artists who I have been breathing with this last year. Thank you for trusting me enough to direct your imagination and talent into this portal. To be in collaboration with you is one of the honors of my lifetime. To all who followed their curiosity and came to experience, big love to you as well✨🖤✨

We made an audio play, photo series, and touring musical in the last year!!! Wowzers 🤯 What is the future of Wild Conspiracy? Heck if I know. It’s still an experiment more than a company, and want to keep moving at the speed of rest, intention, and reflection. Have an idea that feels like a fit? Please reach out. I’m excited to keep collaborating and hope that this humble platform can be of service to other artists who are re-storying relationship with land, place, kin, and time. The future is now.

Stay tuned for a lil heart project about grief, amongst other things. And if you want to learn more about me, Elle, you can follow my personal account

🌸 Thank you to all who joined us for Queen B’s homecoming show along Lake Street last Saturday. There’s no neat and tidy way to sum up what it meant to perform this future-forward show in a place that so recently felt the flames of uprising (if you look at the photos from our Saber, MN series, some of the Elk photos were taken in this same spot, when it was a mountain of scorched rubble). Whatever our future will be, it starts here, now, with us.

I’m so humbled and so grateful for the ways we’ve brought this story to life - especially this summer - in collaboration with so many artists, care workers, land stewards, activists - all honey makers - as well as the living land and of course the bees. I don’t know what the future of this sweet project is, but stay tuned! And if you have ideas, please reach out 🐝🐝🐝✨
