Our bodies are in a space of unbearable pain. George Floyd, this absolutely gorgeous, bright, spirted human being, was tortured to death by Minneapolis police. The breaths that he could not take, is now the air that feeds the fires in our neighborhood, and especially, in our hearts. We stand in solidarity with the protesters at the 3rd Precinct. Their rage, is ours.

We are also in the midst of a global pandemic. Covid-19 has disproportionately decimated communities of color and elder communities across the country, as well as in Minnesota. We want to lift up the elder wisdom of Andrea Jenkins who has addressed protesters directly to consider that at this time, protesters not only put their bodies on the line, but also, the bodies of the members of their own households.

This is a marathon of a fight, and we want to keep fighting this fight with each and everyone one of you. Stay alive. We want so many things for our city, but most immediately, we want the murderers to be formally charged. We condemn the legacy of police violence in our state and the cruel, inhumane departure of this beautiful, beautiful life.
