We are looking forward to seeing you there!

I am proud to share our newest animal messenger candle, the loon messenger! Connecting to the traditional energies of the loon but also embracing the newer symbolism of a messenger of perseverance and resistance, I’m so glad we will have this to offer at the Solstice Bazaar for Orthogonal Productions Midsummer Nights Dream in June! Acting as a messenger between the physical world and the unseen, the loon often represents dreams, peace, and emotional tranquility. Its haunting, otherworldly call is believed to communicate messages from the subconscious, reminding people to look inward for guidance, trust their intuition, and pursue their deepest desires.

So we've been teasing you about our next show, and one of our veteran actors who you've seen in two of our productions of "The Rocky Horror Show" is coming back in our upcoming production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

Mitchel is a great actor but what you may not know is he's also an incredible person. Always positive, happy and ready with a hug and to spread genuine joy to everyone who gets to be in the room with him.

Sadly, Mitchel has been having to deal with some issues with his best friend and bonafide goodest boy, Gus. Gus recently had a bout with cancer, had one of his legs amputated as a result and is going through some treatments to keep him healthy.

We here at Orthogonal don't just believe in producing and supporting quality theatre but producing and supporting quality people as well. Please consider donating a couple of bucks (or a lot of bucks if the mood takes you) to a good man, and his good boy.

Thank you!

“There was a cabaret, and there was a Master-of-Ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany. It was the end of the world…and I was dancing with Sally Bowles and we were both asleep…”

It’s closing night for CABARET at The Southern Theater. Your last chance to see this incredible show.

Brandon R. Caviness: Artistic Director

Brandon is the founder of Orthogonal Productions and serves the company as the Artistic Director. He has directed all five of Orthogonal's feature musicals including three performances of "The Rocky Horror Show" and both productions of "Cabaret." His other credits include: “Ancient Aliens” (Writer and Director, Smartmouth Comedy Co), “Romeo and Juliet,” “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” (Glowing Ember), “Big Fish” (Assistant Director, Morris Park Players), “Improvidence” (MN Fringe) and several others. He has a passion for theatre and comes with an extensive background of on stage work in the Twin Cities theatre community. In recent years he's transitioned off the stage to focus on direction and building shows, discovering he has more of a passion for the creation of the show than the performing of it. "It's a pleasure to make discoveries as a character. Find special moments, hidden intentions, surprising connections that maybe haven't been explored yet. But creating a space where people feel safe and helping them to make those discoveries for themselves is priceless. I can never properly repay the value of the trust my team, crew and cast give to me and my visions for different productions and all they do to make my 'Dream the Impossible Dream World' become a reality."

Jenny Morris Eisenbraun: Choreographer

Jenny Morris Eisenbraun is an award winning choreographer, known for her unique approach, and historical and vintage detail, recently named one of American Theatre's "People to Watch". This is her fifth show with Orthogonal Productions to date. Other credits include Annie, The Rocky Horror Show, Triassic Parq, Addams Family, Damn Yankees, among many others. She also teaches ballroom dance, and sings vintage jazz.

Her everlasting love and gratitude to her mother for setting her on this crazy path, her husband for cheering her on (and building the stage!), the glorious cast who brings her vision to life, and her eternal friend, director Brandon R. Caviness.

Thank you for joining us in the small act of resistance. Art is powerful.

Meine Damen und Herren,
Mesdames et Messieurs,
Ladies and Gentlemen!

Wednesday and Thursday's performances of CABARET are "Pay What You Can" General Admission at the door.

You (of course) run the risk of tickets being unavailable if you don't buy in advance, but we would be remiss if anyone couldn't make it to the show because the ticket cost was too high and want to make the show as accessible as we can.

Lobby opens at 6:30pm.
