Happy Summer Solstice to all! Thank you to everyone who came out to support orthogonalproductions Orthogonal Productions “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and Solstice Bazaar yesterday! It was SO wonderful to chat with so many folks and huge shout out to the amazing vendors and Phoenix Theater for letting us invade their theater for the day! We rose $150 for Orthogonal and got to meet such amazing people - a million times over thank you!!! Have a wonderful Solstice today!

Brandon R. Caviness: Artistic Director

Brandon is the founder of Orthogonal Productions and serves the company as the Artistic Director. He has directed all five of Orthogonal's feature musicals including three performances of "The Rocky Horror Show" and both productions of "Cabaret." His other credits include: “Ancient Aliens” (Writer and Director, Smartmouth Comedy Co), “Romeo and Juliet,” “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” (Glowing Ember), “Big Fish” (Assistant Director, Morris Park Players), “Improvidence” (MN Fringe) and several others. He has a passion for theatre and comes with an extensive background of on stage work in the Twin Cities theatre community. In recent years he's transitioned off the stage to focus on direction and building shows, discovering he has more of a passion for the creation of the show than the performing of it. "It's a pleasure to make discoveries as a character. Find special moments, hidden intentions, surprising connections that maybe haven't been explored yet. But creating a space where people feel safe and helping them to make those discoveries for themselves is priceless. I can never properly repay the value of the trust my team, crew and cast give to me and my visions for different productions and all they do to make my 'Dream the Impossible Dream World' become a reality."

Court Symons: Stage Manager

Court Symons is excited to return for their fourth show as stage manager for Orthogonal Productions. Previously, they were stage manager for Cabaret 2024, Rocky Horror 2024, and Cabaret 2026. Holding an Associate of Fine Arts in Theater Production and Design from Normandale Community College, Court also serves as an event supervisor at the Ames Center in Burnsville. Court values the power of community and personal growth, drawing inspiration from shared journeys. Outside the theater, Court enjoys reading and crafting, and cherishes quality time with friends and beloved pets. Court thanks their cat Artemis for tolerating their absence and always filling them in on her day guarding the apartment as well as their dog Lady for her fierce support as an emotional support stage manager and hopes she’s enjoying her retirement from being a service dog and being at rehearsals.

Benjamin is happy to be back with Orthogonal where he recently played the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show. You may also remember Benjamin from such musicals as Hello, Dolly! (Cross Community) and Anyone Can Whistle (Minneapolis Musical Theatre).
