This announcement comes at a time of deep heartache, fear, and uncertainty in our beloved Minneapolis. Everyone at The Gray Mallard Theater Company is grieving the loss and witnessing the harm our community is enduring. We share the concern for our city's future and draw strength from our neighbors' resolve.

With that resolve in mind, we are moving forward with our summer season. We will be back at Sociable Cider Werks with Shakespeare’s HAMLET, July 16th -August 2nd.

Good news, Shakespeare lovers! The air is clearing, the skies are smiling, and tonight’s performance of Much Ado About Nothing is a definite YES 🎭✨

Benedick may swear he’ll never love, but even he can’t resist this weather. Bring a chair, bring a friend, and prepare for wit, romance, and a touch of mischief under the open sky. We have two shows left, tonight and tomorrow!

📣 The Stage Takes a Bow to the Heat Tonight

For the first time in four years, we’re canceling a performance due to weather.

Minneapolis is under an extreme heat warning with heat indexes feeling like 105° — and no amount of Shakespeare is worth heatstroke.

For the safety of our cast, crew, and you (our beloved audience), tonight’s show is canceled.

Take care of yourselves:
🌡️ Stay cool
💧 Hydrate
☀️ Avoid direct sun
❤️ Check in on loved ones

🎭Hi Minneapolis Theater Friends - Got a Quick Favor to Ask🎭

The Gray Mallard Theater Company is gearing up for our upcoming production of Much Ado About Nothing, and we’re on the lookout to rent or borrow four 4x8 stage platforms (like the ones in the picture, but with legs).

If you have any leads, know of theaters or schools with platforms in storage, or can connect us with someone who might be able to help, we’d be so grateful! Our budget is flexible.
