We’re excited to invite you and your families to a FREE live theater performance of Frozen Jr. at Creekview Park tomorrow, Friday, August 7 at 5:00 PM!

Come enjoy this fun, family-friendly performance featuring the beloved characters and songs from Frozen. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy an evening together right here in our community!

To make the evening even more fun, we’ll also have FREE face painting and snow cones for everyone to enjoy!

Feel free to invite your friends, family members, neighbors, and anyone else in the community who would enjoy the show. The more, the merrier!

After a week of being closed due to the heat we are finally back in the swing of things! Today we had our Preschool camp: Plants Feed Us! We read books about plants, watered the garden, did some crafts and even shared a cucumber from the Creekview garden plots!

Creekview will be closing today at 2pm due to unsafe heat index inside the building. Hopefully, we will be back to business as usual tomorrow! Stay cool, everyone!

Air quality is expected to improve and return to safer levels today!

✅ Most outdoor programs, activities and events will resume at 11 am
✅ Golf courses open at Noon
✅ Beaches, pools and wading pools open at 2 pm. Expect some delays on wading pool openings, so be sure to check the pool status map to see what's ready.

Good afternoon everyone!

Creekview will remain closed today due to the heat and Hazardous Air Quality.

Due to very unhealthy air quality, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has canceled all outdoor programs, activities and events for today.
This includes outdoor pools, wading pools, nature camps, recreation programs, athletic activities, golf courses, events and other scheduled outdoor programming.

Parks, trails and beaches will remain open; beaches will be unguarded. Visitors are encouraged to use precaution and limit time outdoors and follow public health guidance, especially people who may be more sensitive to poor air quality.

We are monitoring conditions and will share additional updates if cancellations continue into tomorrow. Please check the MPRB website or contact your program location for the latest information.
