Jagua is an all natural dye we use on the skin made from the tropical jagua fruit. On lighter shades of skin the resulting stain looks cobalt blue, on rich dark skin tones, it looks black. The dried jagua gel must be worn on the skin as long as possible just like dried henna paste, 4-8 hours is best, the longer the better. When the jagua gel is removed, in parts there will be a very light impression of a stain, or it could even be invisible! This can cause panic if you didn’t listen to or read the provided instructions 🤣 But ultimately there will be a gorgeous stain. Thanks for these photos of the process Alyssa! These are photos of the finished design after application, just after gel removal and 24 hours after application. It will get darker yet. .

Thanks to I have actually done a prompt in 2026!! I really appreciated the chance to be with our beautiful henna community last night❣️ I’m rusty at extemporaneous henna creation as I haven’t had the heart to art much beyond protest posters since the year started. The seeing gauntlet as protection for my daughter warrior was after I was a bit warmed up, the design I did on Jo’s foot is the first meetup henna (always a little dicey for me) and not my very favorite artistically, but the intention of protection and love is there just the same. Thanks to all y’all who put on POSH out of the goodness of your hearts and help some of us out of deep and weary hibernation ❤️‍🩹💜💞
