We're looking for some assistance this weekend!

Saturday, Jan 28 | 11am-4pm-ish
Starting with an active focus on taking down things and then transitioning into cleaning & organizing for storage.

Sunday, Jan 29 | 11a-4p
Mostly cleaning, loading a truck, and taking items to for initial storage trip ~1pm.

Message us if you are interested in helping and when! We will be in/out at other times Monday/Tuesday as well if these do not work for you.

If you are purchasing items, they will be available for pickup during these time frames - please let us know when to expect you. If you need a different time before January 31st, reach out directly to schedule.

Greetings social media followers and thank you so much for your support of Midnight Room Rentals.

Please keep reading for an important update on the space from owner, VaVa Vashti.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, Midnight Room Rentals' lease at 1517 Central Ave ends at the end of January.

While I looked into the possibility of moving/rebuilding in a different location, after much soul-searching and number-crunching, I have made the hard decision to close Midnight Room Rentals - at least for the moment.

When I took over the Midnight space in the last quarter of 2020 it was with the goal of creating a genuinely accessible and equitable space for folks to rehearse, record, teach, and gather. There were - and still are - many barriers to current studio spaces in price, availability, and overall accessibility. Midnight is proud to have been able to fill this community need for nearly two and a half years and as I close these doors I call to other local spaces to revisit their fee structures & payment options, room and parking set-ups, possible restroom upgrades, and general business practices to ensure accessible gathering and rehearing spaces for all. If you are curious about what this could look like for your space, I am open to working with you myself and/or offering referrals to other local community members that would better fit the questions you have.

So, what’s next?

Rentals will continue through the last week of January - with the final days being committed to load-out and cleaning. While there are several items I plan to keep and tasks I must complete on my own, I am leaning in to ask for assistance for this quick physical move-out process.
