* WHAT *
Homemade Improv Jam was initially set up as a virtual improv jam for new and familiar members of our amazing improv community to try new things, and keep our improv fresh while we’re unable to be together in person. Then we were reminded once again of the presence of White Supremacy in our community. The attempted murder of Jacob Blake, the murder of George Floyd, and the silencing of so
many others causes us to pause, reflect, and find ways to move forward in our grief as we continue to take care of ourselves and each other, and to fight for justice. Inherently, that also calls us to explore our imaginations collectively to find new paths forward; to rid our minds of the restraints of What Has Been in order to seek What Can Be; What Should Be. We acknowledge that gathering to play, even in a virtual sense, can feel a bit strange at this point. We are hoping to do improv, but we more importantly will be together. Please join us!
