ICYMI: The range of the Eastern copperhead includes Adams, Scioto, Jackson, Vinton, Hocking, Athens, Meigs and Washington counties; it has had a larger historic range in the Buckeye State. If you are bitten by one of these snakes you would likely survive as their bite is rarely fatal as the amount of venom injected is minimal.

ICYMI: Often known by its nickname, swamp rattler, massasauga snakes are widely scattered and rarely seen. Even when they are discovered, snakes use their camouflage to remain undetected before fleeing or defending themselves. 🐍
