You don’t need to “be a dancer” before taking dance lessons.

That would be a little like cleaning your house before the housekeeper arrives. 😉

You can come to DanceAbel with:

✨ Two left feet
✨ Absolutely no rhythm
✨ A partner who is slightly more enthusiastic than you
✨ Or no partner at all

Private lessons are built around you—your comfort level, your goals, and the way you learn best.

The hardest part is usually walking through the door. After that, we’ll take it one step at a time.

Ready to see what you can do? Schedule your first private lesson for just $45.

You picked a good one. Now dance with them.

They may steal the blankets, load the dishwasher incorrectly, or insist they are “almost ready” while still wearing slippers.

And somehow, they are still the apple of your eye.

Celebrate the person you chose with an evening of apples, tango, and the kind of close connection that cannot happen from opposite ends of the couch.

No tango experience required. We’ll teach the dance—you bring the person who still makes life sweeter.

For 15 years, DanceAbel has been more than a place to learn steps.

It has been a place where friendships began, confidence grew, couples reconnected, and so many memories were made—one dance at a time.

Now, we’re inviting everyone who has been part of our story to celebrate this incredible milestone with us.

Whether you danced with us years ago, currently take lessons, or hope to join the DanceAbel family in the future, you are invited to the DanceAbel Reunion on September 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Come reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, share a few memories, and celebrate 15 years of dancing, community, and connection.

This milestone belongs to all of us—and it wouldn’t feel complete without you. 💜

The shoes you wear can change how your first dance feels.

Before the wedding, practice in shoes with a similar:

• Heel height
• Sole
• Fit
• Level of support

This helps you adjust your balance, step size, and movement before the reception.

If your wedding shoes are uncomfortable, changing into a more dance-friendly pair is allowed. Your marriage will remain legally binding.

Bring your shoes—or a similar pair—to your lessons so we can help you prepare for the actual dance floor.

Dance Tip Tuesday

Your feet do not need constant supervision.

Looking down can pull your posture forward, limit your awareness, and make dancing with a partner more difficult.

Instead, lift your eyes and allow your head to balance naturally over your spine.

You will see more of the room, carry yourself with greater confidence, and begin to feel the movement instead of visually inspecting every step.

Your feet may file a complaint at first. Let them. They know more than you think.

During your next practice, choose one familiar pattern and dance it without looking down.

Did it feel different?

👇From the Ballroom to Your Week 👇

This week’s word is **BALANCE**.

Dancers do not find balance once and keep it forever.

We make small adjustments constantly—shifting our weight, engaging our center, and responding to the movement around us.

Real-life balance works that way too.

It is not a perfect schedule in which work, family, health, relationships, and rest all receive equal attention every day. That sounds lovely, but it may also belong beside unicorns and laundry that folds itself.

💃Balance is noticing when something needs to shift.

Maybe this is the week to do less.

Ask for help.

Make the appointment.

Take the lesson.

Or put something on your calendar that restores you instead of requiring more from you.

What adjustment would help you feel more balanced this week?

Reviews like this mean so much to me. 💜

Wedding dance lessons aren’t just about learning steps—they’re about getting to know each couple, understanding how they learn, and creating a first dance that feels comfortable, natural, and completely theirs.

I’m so grateful they trusted me with such a special part of their wedding day. Now we keep practicing, laughing, and counting down to October! 💍✨

Thank you for this beautiful review. I can’t wait to watch it all come together!

A little Saturday experiment:

Play a song you haven’t heard in years—the one that brings back a person, a place, or a version of yourself you had almost forgotten.

Don’t analyze it.

Just notice what happens.

Does your posture change?
Do your feet begin keeping time?
Does a memory return before the words do?

Music has a remarkable way of reminding the body what the mind has tucked away.

What song would you choose today?

Fifteen years ago, in September, DanceAbel began with a vision: to create a place where people could experience the confidence, connection, and joy that come through dance.

Over the years, that vision has grown into a community.

I have watched students walk through our doors feeling uncertain and later step onto the dance floor with confidence. I have seen strangers become dance partners, classmates become friends, and lessons become memories that last far beyond the music.

Owning a dance studio has stretched me, shaped me, and taught me more than I could ever fit into one post. But the greatest privilege has always been witnessing what dance awakens in people.

Thank you for trusting me, dancing with me, and helping DanceAbel reach this milestone.

With gratitude,

Coral
