Good morning guys! This is the first finished painting in my series on "The Sacrafice of Christ".

This one is entitled "A Mother's Pain".

The depiction is of Mary, the mother of Jesus, just after he was flogged before his crucifixion by order of Pontius Pilate (The fifth governor of the Roman province of Judaea, serving under Emperor Tiberius from 26/27 to 36/37 AD.)

Mary seen here, grieving, inconsolable after having just watched her son be viciously tortured by a Roman gaurd.

As I said before I believe its important to remember this and even have an image, some idea of what happened. Mary was a wife and loving Mother, I couldn't imagine having to endure what she did.

24X30 Acrylic on stretched canvas.

Good evening guys! Still working on my series, well the first piece in my series on the "Sacrafice of Christ".

Bare in mind, it takes time to create perfection 😝 (saracsm). Seriously though I hope you will love it as much as im loving creating it.

Also, let me know if you guys think a time lapse video of my process would be of any interest.

Have a great night!
