SUMMER THEATRE CAMP 2026 🎭

We are beyond excited for all the awesome theatre that has taken place this week at our Rising Stars Summer Theatre Camp! OUR CAMP 1 KIDDOS ARE READY!! OUR CAMP 2 KIDDOS ARE GETTING READY! And our HS students and campers have been working hard and have put together 4 PRODUCTIONS to show off on TONIGHT!

Come join us this evening at the Mineola High School Multi-Purpose Building to watch our amazing theatre students put their hard work to the test! Times and Productions are listed below! We hope to see you soon!!! ✨

ACT 1 & COMPANY PRESENTS

MINEOLA ISD 3RD ANNUAL
SUMMER THEATRE CAMP 🎭

Our camps are full and signed up, our High Schoolers are gearing up to direct/lead 4 productions, and we could not be more excited that our Summer Theatre Camp is BACK and starting this Monday! Our camp theme for this year is: Rising Stars! We want the kids to shine BRIGHTLY and unlock their untapped potential as “Rising Stars”✨ Just a couple of reminders as we get under way this coming week:

1. Our camp will take place this year at the Mineola Middle School (NOT MINEOLA HIGH SCHOOL) so please drop your child off at the Middle School Cafeteria each day!

2. If your child is signed up and has not paid, payment is due 1st Day of Camp (Cash or Checks to “Mineola HS Theatre Arts)

3. Camp 1 - 8 am until 12 pm each day; Camp 2 - 12 pm until 4 pm each day! Doors open 15 minutes early to your respective camp! (Camp 1 - 7:45 am; Camp 2 - 11:45 am)

4. We will have PUBLIC PERFORMANCES of each production on Friday free to the public (A donation station will be located at our information booth that evening!) So if you aren’t doing anything Friday night, come see some “rising stars” in action!!

Remember to bring snacks, waters, pencils, pens, highlighters and your theatre mask game faces!! Let the fun begin on Monday!

Our very own Act 1 & Company Students will direct the camps!! And did we mention your child will PERFORM the production at the end of the week?! Who doesn’t want their child to shine under our lights and be a STAR?!

SPRING MUSICAL SHOWCASE/AWARDS NIGHT

Come one, come all to our 1st ever Spring Musical Showcase, with our song selections from the musical “Finding Nemo: Kids Version”! This production is just the songs and choreography that our Act 2 kiddos have been working on all Spring! After the performance, we will have our End of Year Awards to honor and celebrate the incredible 2025-2026 school year we had in this Theatre Program! We hope you “go with the flow” and join us for all the fun TONIGHT @ 7 pm!

Location: Mineola High School Cafeteria

Admission: FREE; Donations are accepted at the door to springboard us into the 2026-2027 school year!

ACT 2 & COMPANY EXCITING NEWS !!!!

Our Middle School Theatre Program FINALLY has a classroom of our own! Over the past few years, our Middle School Theatre Students have experienced Theatre Arts in multiple classrooms and a cafeteria, and we are pleased with this addition of a portable classroom to give our program and kiddos a home of their own! With incredible support from Admin to help us achieve this, we can’t wait to truly make this place our own! With that said……WE NEED YOUR HELP! We have an Amazon List created for items to turn this portable into our lovely Theatre Home. As we approach the end of this 2025-2026 school year, please keep us in mind! ACT 1 & COMPANY UIL OAP 2026 PRESENTS:
THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE ⭕️

Our UIL One Act Play will be having our FINAL PUBLIC PERFORMANCE this coming Tuesday April 28th! Join us in celebrating our hard working Act 1 & Company Members as they bid adieu to our award winning 2026 production!

Before the show, we will take a moment to honor and thank our Act 1 Seniors who have helped shape the framework and set a tone for this Theatre Program for years to come. Let’s end their theatrical careers off on a high note and pack the House! You will NOT want to miss this!! 🙂

Place: Mineola High School Multi-Purpose Room

Time: 7 PM; Doors open at 6:30 PM.

Admission: Donations will be accepted at the front if you feel inclined to give! All proceeds go towards our theatre program preparing us for next school year! We will also be selling various concession items!
