Nearly a dozen Christian music artists, as well as speakers, are set to take part in East Texas Revive Fest on Saturday, September 15th, at the Mineola Nature Preserve. The event opens at 10 a.m. and the first band will take the stage at 11 a.m. Tickets are $15 at the gate. Among those set to perform are Exalt, Jill Brandon, Ashley Lagunas, 24 Se7en Band, Crowned in Grace, Adolphus Harrison, Jermaine Jackson, Trio San Nicolas Hidalgo, Grupo Getsemani, Cheyenne McIlvain, Church of Garden Valley Worship Team and Finding Grace. Mineola Nature Preserve Closed for Special Event Sept. 14-16

Mineola Nature Preserve will be closed to the general public beginning at noon on Friday, September 14, 2018 and will reopen at noon on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

This closure is by order of the City Council in order for a special event to take place. The special event is “East Texas Revive Fest.” Details about the event are available at: www.easttexasrevivefest.com

Mineola’s Mayor Kevin White (on the left) is shown in this photo accepting a donation to the City of Mineola earlier this week in the amount of $1,000 from CenterPoint Energy employee, Ricky Haisten. The donation will be used to purchase a multi-gas atmospheric meter that will test air in confined spaces and help ensure the safety of Public Works employees! Thank you, CenterPoint Energy!

The City of Mineola’s Landmark Commission is deeply grateful to Brian Steck with ETAS for donating the materials used in building the Iron Horse Square mini train barn. The barn is a replica of Mineola’s Roundhouse that stood in the West Mineola yard. Isn’t it looking great so far? Be sure and come by and check it out!
