Around 2:50 AM in South Dakota, and I’m winding down in the coziest little bunkhouse inside a barn—yes, a barn, and honestly? It’s beautiful. After long days and very little sleep, a hot shower and a warm bed feel like the biggest luxuries.
This week has already been one for the books. A kind-hearted woman in Iowa opened her home to us—offering showers, a soft floor to rest on, and a reminder that there are truly good people in this world. Since then, we’ve hauled horses for over 20 hours (with 12 more to go before we even get there)… and a 3-day drive home still awaits. Somewhere in the middle of it all, we even got to stop and see Mount Rushmore. 🇺🇸
I’ve had the incredible honor of traveling as a rookie, helping the pro team—and let me just say, it’s been an experience I’ll never forget. Our whole team has been putting in the work—caring for 12 horses, loading, unloading, practicing, performing—all while living out this wild and beautiful dream together.
At just 15 years old, I know how rare and special this life is. I’m doing things many adults may never get to, and I don’t take that for granted. I’m endlessly thankful for the village that keeps me going—my family, my work family, my rodeo family. You show up for me in more ways than I can count, and I carry that love and support with me in every arena and every mile.
This journey is shaping me. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s unforgettable. I’m tired… but my heart is so full. 🫶🏽❤️⛰️
