We have been teaching Dance in the Carson Valley for 36 years and we are extremely fortunate to have been a part of so many lives here. We have had many students who have grown up and continued to dance in college, dance professionally, and even become dance teachers. We also have many dancers who have just wanted to try a class or two and then stayed with us throughout their school careers.

A huge congratulations to all of the wonderful young dancers who took part in the Nevada Dance Company’s Nutcracker auditions last weekend!

We were so proud to see so many dancers step into the studio, give their best, and show such enthusiasm, focus, and courage throughout the audition. ✨

Auditioning is an important part of a dancer’s journey, and every dancer should feel incredibly proud of themselves for taking on the challenge.

We are so excited to begin rehearsals and watch this year’s production come to life. It’s going to be a very special

Whether you’re returning to ballet after years away, looking to improve your technique, or stepping into the studio for the very first time, this class is for you!

Join **Oliver Adams** every Thursday evening at Nevada Dance Workshop for a welcoming adult ballet class focused on technique, strength, musicality, and the enjoyment of dancing.

We are excited to invite your dancer to audition for Nevada Dance Company’s 2026 production of The Nutcracker!
Auditions will be held this Saturday, August 22nd at Nevada Dance Workshop, and dancers ages 5 and up, of all technical levels, are encouraged to participate.

Performing in The Nutcracker is a wonderful opportunity for our students to take their training beyond the classroom, gain valuable stage experience, and perform alongside professional dancers in one of our community’s most beloved holiday traditions.

🩰 Audition Times – Saturday, August 22
Ages 5–7: 10:00–10:45am
Ages 8–11: 11:00am–12:00pm
Ages 12+: 12:15–1:30pm

The 12+ audition will also serve as an opportunity for dancers who would like to be considered for the Nevada Dance Company Pre-Professional Company. Dancers auditioning for the Pre-Professional Company should be strong en pointe.

❄️ About The Nutcracker
Performances will take place Thanksgiving Weekend, November 27–29, at the Bob Boldrick Theatre in Carson City.
Rehearsals will generally be held on Fridays (usually older students) and Saturdays from September through late November.
We strongly encourage our NDW dancers to audition. Whether this will be their very first Nutcracker or they have performed with us before, it is a fantastic way to build confidence, develop as a performer, make new memories with their fellow dancers, and experience the excitement of being part of a full-length ballet production.

We will send out a link to sign up to audition later this week. If you are not a part of the Nevada Dance Workshop mailing list you can sign up at the door.

🎉 TODAY’S THE DAY! 🎉

NEVADA DANCE COMPANY RETURNS TO DOG DAYS OF SUMMER!

Join us TONIGHT, Saturday, August 15, as Nevada Dance Company takes the stage at the 5th Annual Dog Days of Summer Dance Festival at the Pioneer Center in Reno!
We are incredibly proud that 2026 marks the fifth consecutive year Nevada Dance Company has been selected as a headlining company at this wonderful celebration of dance in Northern Nevada. 🩰

One of the things we love most about events like Dog Days is the opportunity for our younger dancers to come and watch the older students, pre-professional dancers, guest artists, and professional company members perform.

For a young dancer, seeing those they look up to performing onstage can be incredibly inspiring. They get to see where their own training can lead, experience dance as an audience member, and watch dancers who were once taking the very same classes they are taking today. ❤️
