My three tips are: use a top stitch needle, a wider stitch length, and increase the tension on your top thread.

Last year I made my kids college quilt twice. It’s OK I learned a lot and now I have all these beautiful blocks that I forgot about until they discovered them yesterday. The two on the left will head to Bellingham as pillows in the new six person house!

On the right, I think I’m going to add some 6 inch curves and turn it into a display quilt for QuiltCon 2027.

I feel pretty smart having these on hand! 😂😉 don’t forget about those works and progress turn into something beautiful.

My wall is a very good representation of my brain this summer. We have one more fun adventure as a family this weekend and then we start moving our oldest into their new house as a sophomore in college. I am enjoying the pace right now. August feels so far away and yet here it is.
