A little overdue, but figured it was finally time to share some photos from our 10 Year Anniversary celebration at back in October ❤️

It’s a little wild to think about what can happen when you just keep showing up, creating, connecting, and putting in the work for a decade. Lord knows it ain’t always easy 🫠

Along the way came hundreds of shows, 100+ live sessions with artists from around the world, countless collaborations, late nights, hearty laughs, stressful moments, lifelong friendships, furniture rearrangements, Facebook Marketplace pickups, freight elevator rides, ceiling leaks, deep conversations, impressive (and not so impressive) dance moves, big ideas, and a whole lot of music and good old fashioned community.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with us, especially the artists who helped soundtrack the day: , , , , and for keeping the vibes high from Disco Brunch to close. Still not sure why we thought a 10-hour Sunday party was a good idea 😅

Extra love to for riding with us all day, for capturing it so beautifully, and / .arts for the commemorative flash tats!

Shout out to & for providing visuals throughout the day!

Thanks to , , & for selling your art/vintage/ handmade clothes!

Big love to The Cooperage + for always being wonderful collaborators and giving us space to dream up weird and wonderful things together.

And to everyone who has supported Hear Here over the years, whether you came to a show, watched a session, volunteered, collaborated, shared a post, bought a ticket, donated, or supported us on Patreon… thank you. Truly.

Your support helps us keep creating live sessions, community events, and a few behind-the-scenes projects we’re excited to share soon. If Hear Here has meant something to you and you’d like to support what we do, our nonprofit Patreon link is in bio ❤️

Shout out to & for their support!

More photos to come.

Our newest SPRING ✽ VOYAGE playlist… a little later than planned, but maybe right on time as the April gray finally starts giving way to spring

2 hours and 22 minutes moving through the many moods of the season.

In this mix you’ll find chill instrumental grooves, coastal psychedelia from a few bands we love, deep cuts and familiar favorites pulled from both our parents’ records and our own shelves, touches of mushroom jazz, rainy day classics, sunny afternoon windows-down tunes, and eventually a few tracks that carry things a little further into the night.

We always try to build these VOYAGE playlists so the scenery shifts a bit as they unfold. Like spring itself, the atmosphere keeps changing, warm and bright one moment, softer and more reflective the next.

In some small way, this playlist is meant to feel like the stretch between March 20th and June 21st. A soundtrack for spring as we know it.

Put it on for a drive, a walk, a rainy afternoon, cleaning the house, laying in the grass, a solo smoke, or whatever “a little trip” means to you.

Dead Forever ⚡️🌹

I know it wasn’t “The Grateful Dead.”
And I know I never got to see Jerry.

But that doesn’t take away from how deeply special the memories I made with Dead & Company over the last ten+ years will always be to me.

The night and I met in November of 2018, Dead & Co. had just announced they’d be playing The Gorge the following summer. During our very first conversation, we joked about going to those shows.

And then we actually did.

Gorge, show 1, was the place where I told her I was in love with her for the first time.

A couple years later, during that same week in June, we went out to San Francisco for another run. We got engaged after they played a second set “El Paso” coming out of a clunky, very non-cowboy first set.

Pulled The ol Dark Star > El Paso > Dark Star on us.

The engagement was completely unplanned, but somehow perfect.

Then in 2023, with only seven days notice, we decided to sign our marriage license in Chicago between Dead & Gizzard shows just before dipping down to Cincinnati for one last Dead & Co. road show.

We were fortunate enough to make it out to the Sphere twice, once in ‘24 and once ‘25, (mother’s day last year) and because of great friends in San Francisco, we were also able to make it to the final shows there last summer.

We did whatever we could to make it work because, deep down, I think we knew we were getting down to those final chances to experience these amazing shows together.

And while the music will absolutely keep going through , , , , and so many others carrying the torch forward… there was just something magical about those giant summer tours with Bobby, John, Chimenti, Billy, Mickey, and Co.

Those silly bears.
The stadium’s singing together.
The Shakedown Streets.
The POSTERS.
Meeting up with old friends in random cities and making many new ones along the way. ⚡️💀

All of it.

As summer rolls around, I’m really starting to process how much I’m going to miss this.

Thank you for the memories.
Forever gra
