CASTING CALL FOR INDEPENDENT FEATURE FILM!
MORNING MOON – Searching for her father, Selena finds a stranger instead—unearthing secrets, guilt, and unexpected bonds. Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Aaron Greer (Service to Man and Gettin' Grown), Morning Moon is scheduled to film in Madison, July 2026. This independent
feature centers around a recently orphaned 22-year-old who receives a mysterious lead on the father she never knew existed. Compelled to unravel the truth—if only to understand
her mother’s lifelong deception—she sets off on a search that takes her into an uncomfortable past and unfamiliar future. Part coming-of-age story, part dramedy, part mystery, Morning Moon explores issues around family, addiction, identity and love.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Written and directed by Aaron Greer (Gettin’ Grown Productions and the University of
Wisconsin Madison).
• Principal photography scheduled to start on or about July 1st, 2026. All filming to
take place in and around Madison, Wisconsin.
• Compensation: $250/day + meals and mileage (if appropriate).
• Open to union and non-union. Only talent based within 100-miles of Madison, WI
will be considered for these roles.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Jacqui – black woman, 40-45 y/o, strict, proud and intensely private, but also intensely
protective of her only child, Selena (22). Dying far too young, she has business to take
care of and history to set right before she passes.
• This role requires 2-days of filming on or about July 5th and 6th
Thea – black woman, 55-75 y/o, queen bee and proud AKA who is about her business,
but also has a soft spot for her younger sorors and mentees.
• This role requires 1 day of filming on or about July 13th
