A much younger-than-usual audience seemed fully enthralled by the story, in which Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway (Crystal Kellogg), argues for a new ending to Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet.

Plot twists, Shakespearean wit, and music that transforms every moment this show is pure joy. Even this cynic was won over. ✨

Milwaukee audiences have been bringing the energy too, laughing, waving their hands, and leaning into every fourth-wall moment.

June 5th was an incredible evening for the future of access to live Theatre experiences in downtown Milwaukee! The Marcus Center hosted the 21st annual Broadway Bash, raising support for MPAC’s education and engagement programming – and the community responded. Current fundraising totals exceed $472,000, making this our highest fundraising event to date! Wow. Thank you.

Over 600 attendees helped advance the Marcus Center’s mission to be a cultural anchor and gathering place for all, but when the Broadway Bridges students took the stage with Eva Noblezada, the mission became clear to the entire room.

Access to the arts matters. Gathering spaces are powerful spaces. Advocacy moves the mission forward. Live performances are transformative.

There are exciting things on the horizon for the Marcus Center, and with the continued support of the Milwaukee community, we will continue to be a place where all are welcome and celebrated.
