TONIGHT — catch me DJing live on the beach at McKinley Beach for Silent Disco at 8 PM. This is a rare opportunity for me, and I would seriously love to see some familiar faces out there supporting!

It’s going to be getting dark during my set, which is honestly the perfect vibe: headphones lit up across the beach, music in your ears, people dancing under the night sky… magical stuff.

People who have been to this event before have called it one of the highlights of their year. I’ve heard stories of people dancing in the water, which is exactly the kind of beautiful chaotic energy I’m hoping for 😂

Silent Disco is extra fun from the DJ side too, because I can actually see which songs are working by watching all the headphones tuned to my channel. Of course, I can also see in real time when I make a questionable choice and everyone switches away from me lol (I’m going to push some boundaries tonight 😉 )

OMG I’m at 250 episodes...

I’ve been at this podcast thing where I drop-a-new-mix-every-3-weeks for 15 years now. Hard to believe really.

When I started, podcasting was a term used for anyone recording audio and distributing it through RSS, now it’s dominated by people talking. Nothing wrong with that - although sometimes it feels weird to call what I do a podcast anymore.

Either way, thanks for sticking with me these past 15 years. Here’s to 15 more!

This special episode #250 is a compilation of edits that I’ve made over the years. Felt good to dig into my personal vault of weirdness to find some custom edits; most were made specifically for a themed-mixtape. Hearing them all mixed together is like putting together a scrapbook of special moments in my life from the past 20 years.

Also, big news coming in the next post to make it easier to keep up with the WiscoJazz-Cast.
