It’s the small stuff that matters to me in life, a perfectly blue sky, an adventure with a friend, a weekend in the woods, a great song, a hug from a loved one, etc. It’s the small things in life that remind us to take it slow, enjoy the surroundings, and try not to be distracted by the rush of life.
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
-Abrah

Photographs can be a reminder of these small things or events that can be held on to, to keep that feeling for eternity. I suppose that is why I like to take photographs of these small moments so that they can be enjoyed time and time again. Surrounded by nature brings me to a feeling of peace, where all in life seems to makes sense. My family has cabins in the woods of central Wisconsin, and it is a place that I long for and always want to be. My fine art is based on this feeling that nature provides, along with an undying relation between all that exists in the landscape.
“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air…”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
I love to experience new things, and learn from others interests. I will try most everything at least once. Life is about growing and being able to have as many experiences as possible. How else would you be able to learn who you are if you don’t try new things?
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
-Mark Twain
