I didn't think this could get so big in just 5 years...

In 2021, the 1st VW Original Stage at Paperfest came together in about 6 weeks. Now, Mark at Appleton B**r Factory had the bands booked last year, and this 5th year is a crazy lineup.

🍺Brewery of The Month - July
Stillmank B**r Company (Green Bay, WI)

A staple brewery in the Green Bay community (a community which has over 10 breweries if you include adjacent towns), Stillmank didn't start out with investors or a massive faciliy, just love for a b**r and sharing pints with buddies. "That is still our passion today." Says owner Brad Stillmank.

Their most popular b**r is Wisco Disco, which has been one of the only craft b**r brands that Lambeau Field has made a part of thier lineup every season. Brad says, "Wisco Disco (Wisco as it is affectionately referred to in GB). Was crafted to be only only b**r we could afford to start making when we set out to start a brewery. We knew it maybe the only b**r in our fridge for some time. To us that meant the recipe need to provide a flavor hoppy bold experience that would not be so overwhelming that we couldn't crush 12 of them. It turned into a b**r brand that Green Bay embraced and drank enough of we were able to build out a full brewery that now 12 years later has produced millions of pints of b**r and is still just sold in Northeastern WI!"

☕️Coffee Shop of the Month - July☕️
The Sow's Ear (Verona, WI)

The Sow’s Ear has been bringing community to the Madison area as the Midwest’s first combined yarn store and coffee shop since the year 2000!

They say their signature drink is the “Silk Purse” and they have monthly drink specials that customers get very excited about. "The silk purse was crafted by a manager years ago and it has been a crowd favorite year after year. The name of the cafe comes from the saying, ‘you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.’”

The photo of the people in the cafe is from the 2025 Scandi Night event. From Crochet club to various workshops, The Sow’s Ear brings coffee and community together constantly. In Milwaukee, Pilot Project Brewing makes parmesan potato-crusted white cheddar curds. In addition to their fantastic brews, they have a beautiful space inside and on the roof-top patio, and your hand-battered curds come with a fresh dill aoli for a little extra zest.

TJ's Harbor Restaurant get their stretchy battered cheese curds fresh from Weyauwega Star Dairy before hand battering them. They also have fantastic wood-fired pizzas, a harbor for boat parking and lake views, and gluten free curds available by request.

Faklandia Brewpub signature curds are fresh curds from Clock Shadow Creamery, b**r battered with their own Liz Wiz L***r and their own BBQ seasoning. 😋 The owner Nate told me, it's one of five items that haven't changed since they opened.

They make their own ranch, b**r, and nearly everything on their menu is made from scratch. Next time you're in St. Francis, give them a try. There's something going on every night. Taco Tuesday, Wing Wednesday, Trivia Thursdays, Friday Fish & Karaoke, and Brunch Sunday
