Nova Linea Contemporary Dance is excited to announce our 2026/2027 Season dates! Save the dates and stay tuned for more details on an exciting season of returning works, new creations, and touring engagements.

For our 2026–2027 Season, Nova Linea will present a series of performances featuring returning works and new creations. We open on November 13th & 14th, 2026, with a revitalization of the audience favorite “Clarity & Connection,” inspired by the work of author Yung Pueblo. This piece explores self-awareness and the idea that meaningful relationships with others begin with a deeper understanding of oneself. For our Spring Concert on May 28th & 29th, 2027, Artistic Director Jared Baker premieres a new work titled “In The Grip Of Regret,” examining how regret shapes our lives and influences both action and inaction. This performance will also feature a collaboration with The Performance Experience, bringing this partnership into the spring season.

During the 2026–2027 season, Nova Linea will also tour “some wounds never heal” with two separate engagements. This raw, atmospheric work continues to resonate with audiences, further expanding the company’s reach beyond its home performances.

Read more about Makaylee below.

“Makaylee Wooldridge is a passionate and versatile dancer whose artistry is rooted in both creative expression and a deep understanding of the body in motion. Born in Champaign, Illinois, Makaylee began dancing at Art in Motion Dance Studio, where she first discovered her love for movement. At age 11, she moved to Dallas, Texas, and continued her training at Dance Industry Performing Arts Center before attending the acclaimed Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she further developed her artistry and versatility as a performer. Makaylee continued her dance education at Chapman University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Physiology. During her time at Chapman, she performed in numerous faculty and student works and honed her skills in contemporary, modern, and jazz, studying under renowned choreographers and LA-based artists. In addition to performing, Makaylee has over six years of choreography and teaching expertise, where she takes the approach through science and movement analysis. She is deeply inspired by the power of dance to tell stories, build community, and connect people through shared human experience. Her movement style is grounded in contemporary and modern dance, emphasizing athleticism, musicality, and emotional honesty. She is beyond excited and honored to be joining Nova Linea this season!“
