The Augmented Reality Experience is live at the Art Intersection MKE Outdoor Gallery!

It’s part of our Ruth Foundation for the Arts Wisconsin Special Project, Interactive Oasis, which blends environmental justice, traditional art forms, and digital media.

Mz. Icar created Blooming Forward, a mural celebrating personal and collective growth, play, and exploration as essential parts of a thriving future. Mz. Icar enhanced the mural with a 3D rendering, letting viewers interact with the piece in multiple ways, and produced two more 3D renderings paired with other works in the Outdoor Gallery.

Look for the QR codes on the plaques located near the artworks:

Art Intersection MKE is humbled and overjoyed to announce that we are a recipient of the Ruth Foundation for the Arts 2026 Artist Choice Award!

This year, Ruth Arts awarded unrestricted grants to 28 organizations across the country and we are proud to be one of them.

Artist Choice is unlike any other grant. Each year, Ruth Arts invites a group of esteemed artists including choreographers, visual artists, performers, writers, and musicians to nominate organizations that have deeply influenced their creative practices and contributed to the cultural imagination at large. This year, 24 incredible artists participated, recommending organizations that are generating deep study, strengthening communities, and investing in art and ideas.

To be nominated by an artist who was moved by our work, that means more than words can express. It is organic. It is genuine. It is everything.

Thank you, Ruth Arts. We are honored, we are grateful, and get ready everyone, we are just getting started.
