A WCS Actors Studio Ensemble Intensive

Actors, directors, designers and humans of all experience levels welcome. Over five evenings, the WCS Ensemble will investigate Shaw together, putting scenes on their feet, asking questions, testing ideas, challenging assumptions, and discovering what Shaw's language can do.

Shaw gives actors extraordinary material full of wit, argument, seduction, politics, status, comedy, contradiction, and characters who rarely say exactly what they mean.

Sharpen your listening, skills rhetoric, physical presence, timing, instincts, and relationship to classical language. Members of the WCS Ensemble will all participate in leading the work and shaping the conversation around the text.

Viewpoints Ensemble Training is our flagship class, offered year-round as scheduling allows. This is a laboratory designed to train your entire instrument (heart, mind, body, and soul) while aligning you with artists who are genuinely committed to the idea of ensemble. The work is physically rigorous yet full of embodied joy.

This is ensemble training in the truest sense. You’ll practice listening with your whole body, responding in real time, and shaping something that only exists because everyone in the room is fully present. It’s a rare chance to train without hierarchy, without performance pressure, and with the shared understanding that the group’s imagination is stronger than any single artist’s.

A WCS Actors Studio Craft Series Intensive

Your voice is an instrument. Most people never learn to play it.
Join Milwaukee theatre titan 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬 for two Tuesday evenings, September 15 & 22, and rebuild your voice from the ground up: breath, phonetics, rhetoric, resonance, the whole architecture beneath every word you speak.

This is a collegiate level craft class, the kind of training actors spend years chasing, distilled into two focused sessions. Whether you're stepping onstage, into a courtroom, a classroom, a pulpit, or a boardroom, your voice is the tool you reach for every single day. Here's your chance to finally sharpen it.

All are welcome. Actors, singers, speakers, teachers, and the simply voice curious alike. No experience required, just a willingness to breathe differently than you ever have before.

Two Tuesdays. Ninety minutes each. One transformed instrument.
