Tonight is the night!!! Bands on the Blackwater is back with our Fall Series. Vinyl Revival kicks things off at 7 p.m. We look forward to seeing you all again at Jernigan's Landing.
We know you have been anxiously awaiting this post that we have to do before each series (looking directly at our lawyers).
RULES, RULES, RULES!!!!
For all the fun we have at the concerts, there are some rules that we have to follow to ensure that each Bands Fan has the best time possible. So here we go -
Bands on the Blackwater is a free outdoor concert series held Friday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Jernigan’s Landing in downtown Milton, Florida. Jernigan’s Landing is located at 5154 Willing Street, Milton on the west bank of the beautiful Blackwater River. Come by car or boat, bring a lawn chair and join us at one of the Gulf Coast’s top family-friendly music events.
There are two series annually – Spring (April – June) and Fall (September – October). For the complete schedule, please check this page. Interested in the band and what type of music they play? Simply click on their name in our posts or search the band name.
As an outdoor event, the concerts are subject to weather. We will make every effort to present each show as scheduled, including minor delays, but the safety of the public is our primary concern.
Notices of cancellations will be made via our marketing sponsors and on this page as soon as possible. In the event of severe weather after a show starts, we will evaluate the situation and make a determination in the interest of safety for all. In the event of lightning within a 5-mile radius of the show, we will take a 20-minute safety break and reassess. Any additional lightning strikes will start a new 20-minute clock. Please listen to and follow all safety instructions provided from the stage.
Please note - we cannot respond to posts, DM's, questions, calls, etc. on Fridays. We are in the field setting up all day. And because it's Florida, it's most likely going to rain at some point in time, somewhere, most afternoons. But, it's going to most likely stop just as quickly. If there is no post on this page regarding a cancellation, the show is a go. We will hold off on cancelling a show as long as possible in an attempt to have the concert. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Please consider dining with the food vendors that will be on site each week. They have some great food. On show days (Fridays), some time after noon, we will post on this page the food vendors expected for that evening's show. We frequently have cancellations beyond our control and usually can replace a vendor before showtime. We hold this announcement until that time to be as accurate as possible so you can make you dinner plans for that night. We again ask for your understanding and patience with us as we get this information to you each Friday.
Parking is available throughout the downtown area. On street parking, where legal, is allowed outside the perimeter of the event. Please do not drive around any "Road Closed" signage. Pine Street and Willing Street at the venue area close at 5:30 p.m. "Road Closed" means just that for everyone and will be strictly enforced. Please do not park on or block any sidewalk.
Bands on the Blackwater observes the following rules:
