Shots From Back In The Day - Circa 2019. The Atlanta Air Show and the Thunderbirds. I just love shooting the airshows and this was my first time out with the mirror-less Nikon.

I was really happy with how it performed. This particular airshow was held over Atlanta Motor Speedway, and with the photographer pass, I was standing on the roof of the grandstand. You can't get any closer than that...

Cancun, Mexico. One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to get up early and shoot the sunrise. The colors are always so vibrant and it is so peaceful out on the beach.

Shots From Back In The Day - Circa 2010. My sweet pup, Patch. He was such a good dog and he went everywhere with me. As a Great Pyrenees mix, he was mostly white with a few little speckles here and there, but he also had a big brown patch in the middle of his back - hence his name.

I took this shot of him on a walk in the woods. We were walking along and I was taking pictures of the foliage and a few deer when he froze in his tracks. He was so focused on something in the distance and I took this photo of him. It has always been my favorite shot of him and I still miss him to this day.

Shots From Back In The Day - Circa 2017, Banff, Alberta, Canada. Moraine Lake, also known as the Valley of The Ten Peaks.

Around 2009 or so, I saw a photo in a travel magazine and decided that no matter what it took, I was going to visit that place someday. Fast forward to 2017 and I had the chance to spend a week on the tail end of a business trip.

The weather was perfect for almost the entire time and I got up early in the morning to go to this spot. It was a bucket list thing and this shot has been one of my best selling photos ever since.

Shots From Back In The Day - Circa 2004.

Stone Mountain Park, Georgia. We went to tour the park and my daughter wore her long red leather coat. She started to walk down the empty railroad track and I started snapping shots.

I had the idea to make the full shot black and white except for her coat. The tracks leading to nowhere made it more dramatic to me. Showing both versions of the shot.

Shots From Back In The Day - Circa 2012. I took this shot of the Sumatran Tiger at Zoo Atlanta. I stood there for almost an hour waiting for him to wake up. People kept coming and going and never saw him.

When he finally woke up, I was the only person there and we just stood there staring at each other. Then I started snapping away.

Sometimes it’s all about the patience.

Shots From Back In The Day - circa 2016. I had a reunion weekend in Pensacola with some of my shipmates and we went to the season ending airshow at NAS.

I took so many photos that day and this os one of my favorite shots from that day. It is one of my best selling prints for Blue Angels fans!

Shots From Back In The Day - circa 1986. I was stationed in Okinawa and I went out with my camera, experimenting with black and white film. There were flagpoles on the base where they would fly the US and Japan flags and on this particular day, they had the giant holiday flags flying.

I caught this picture of the massive American flag billowing in the breeze and it has always been one of my favorite shots.

Shots From Back In The Day - Circa 1984 - One of the first 35mm pictures I ever took. We had a storm roll through and I stood in the window of my parent's bedroom upstairs with my Minolta X-370. No tripod, just holding the camera as steady as I could and waiting for a flash of lightning. This is one of the only images that turned out and it was much sharper than I expected it to be.

Not super impressive, but we all have to start somewhere, right? As a 17-year-old, I was pleased with myself.
