📸 Champlain Valley Kennel Club AKC Scentwork Trial Photos are ready!

This was an exciting new venue for me. Thank you for your patience as I edited (took a bit with all the lighting variations!).

A few things to know:
– You can order digital files or prints directly through the site for personal use.
– I moved between the simultaneous events at times. I've organized by location but can break it apart by dog upon request (just shoot me a description!) and $10 minimum purchase. I may do some more folder organizing a bit later too.
– Bulk digital discounts are available, you *must* select the package at checkout to save. If you want to purchase even MORE bulk discounts just ask!
– I'm happy to make edits/tweak. Just let me know, please don't use AI.
– Please don’t screenshot unpurchased images, this is theft and it really hurts small creators.
– Contact me for commercial use rights (kennel websites, publication, etc) or special requests.

Scentwork is pretty cool because an olfactory creature like the dog is sensing things we cannot, so watching them work is fascinating. Here's a pretty great "snapback"- this pup caught a scent in the air and honed in before ultimately giving an alert. It's neat to watch the moment they've caught a strong whiff leading to the source where it is strongest. And what an alert- look at that focus!!

I'm a little over halfway done the photos (and I got a later than I wanted start) and am a bit of head of schedule now. I appreciate everyone's patience as I edit! Stay tuned!

Thank you Champlain Valley Kennel Club for hosting me yesterday at the AKC Scent Trial! I had a ton of fun capturing images (and learning how scentwork happens in a trial setting for my own pup!).

I think I caught most everyone at least once, I was running between rooms and trials to get a decent variety of competitors and trials.

Photos will take me about a week or two to edit (I took a TON!) and will be available on my website to purchase digitals, prints, or other photo products.

If you don't feel like waiting I charge a small rush order fee ($15) for getting all your edits done as priority- just send me a message!

Hello North Country Mushers!

May your weekend be as happy as these Siberians with their tongues lolling out at the finish. These dogs are doing what they were born to do. I love this breed!

ALL photos are uploaded and sorted into folders with the musher's name.

Photos are available by donation to (Venmo/PayPal or message me if you need an alternate option). Every contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated and Ido a silly little dance when my phone goes off. You can also order prints and other photo products directly from my gallery.

A friend also captured a few shots of the skijor teams (since I was racing), let me know if you're looking and I’ll connect you.

Hello North Country Mushers!

Last weekend delivered some seriously exciting moments- like this incredible, neck and neck finish by the Berg sisters charging down the final stretch. What a race!

I believe everyone who requested priority access to their photos is all set. You should see a folder labeled with the musher’s name. If not, please reach out.

Photos are available by donation to (Venmo/PayPal or message me if you need an alternate option). Every contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated and Ido a silly little dance when my phone goes off.

All remaining photos will be completed by the end of the week. If you’d like your images sooner, send me your bib number(s) from both days and I’ll bump you up in the queue.

North Country Mushers, are you as excited for photos as much as these Greysters were to race? Have your defrosted yourselves from this weekend?

I can't wait to get these all up and edited- with over 2k photos it will take me a wee bit. That being said, if you want to see yours earlier let me know your Bib #'s from both days and I can prioritize them. I caught all dogsledders (I did not catch the skijor teams as I was racing myself, but another Photographer I know, Gary Cross, did!)

These are pay-as-you-can/donation based. I can accept PayPal or Venmo (and if you haven't the funds, that's OK too!).

Thank you for an amazing weekend all! It was so much fun capturing your photos (and in some cases the pups after the crossed the finish) and then going out for my own races.

North Country Mushers, I will be back this weekend for our race! I cannot wait to capture you all again! I'll be near the start/finish this time, so give me a wave if you can!

As a note, I will also be running the single dog skijor (wish us luck as we shake the rust off from a down season) both days, so I will not be covering that event or anyone during/after my start. This race is dear to me because as you all know by now- I love all things dogs and mushing!

Let's hope for beautiful snow and a safe race for all! See you then!

P.S. The club is still looking for volunteers. Please show up at Oxbow Park in Morrisville around 8 this Saturday and Sunday if you are able to donate your time. They are also looking for someone with a 4 wheeler to help anchor and navigate teams at the start.

This is the real deal, no AI needed. We had a lovely flurry of snow for Jenny's wreath shoot with Wimpy! Swipe for a fun outtake!

Missed out on the Holiday fun or want some winter portraits? Winter IS my favorite season after all, so the fun doesn't stop because the snow flies! Reach out if you want to book a snowy shoot or get a jump start on next year's cards!

I'm done my edits for the year, but quite behind on posting! Stay on the lookout for more shots from this Summer and onward- remembering to do social media was never my strong suite ;)
