There’s a lot broken around here right now, and it’s hard to find the words to describe how we’re feeling. Hurricane Isaias didn’t just hit our track... it hit our town and the surrounding region hard.

We know many people in our community, including some of our racers, fans, and employees, are dealing with far worse. Our hearts are with y’all as we all try to figure out what comes next.

There’s a long road ahead for our track and our community. Y’all take care of yourselves and each other. We’ll work through this together. ❀️🏁

We made it out to Southern Raceway to assess the hurricane damage, and it’s tough to see our track like this. The damage is significant, and we have an extensive cleanup and rebuilding process ahead of us.

First and foremost, all of our family is safe. Our homes made it through with varying degrees of damage, but nothing we can’t fix or replace. We’re incredibly thankful for that.

We don’t yet know how long it will take to get the track back in shape or what this means for our upcoming events. We’re still taking it all in and figuring out where to start. We’ll keep everyone updated as we get a clearer picture.

To our racers, fans, neighbors, and everyone dealing with the aftermath of this storm: we’re going through this right alongside you. We know many of you are looking at damage to your own homes and businesses and facing the same uncertainties we are.

This community means so much to our family, and we’re grateful to be part of it. Take care of yourselves and each other as we all work through what comes next. There’s a lot of work ahead, but we’ll take it one day at a time. ❀️ 🏁

Somebody tell Jim he picked the wrong weekend to come to Southern Raceway! πŸ˜‚πŸŒ€

All jokes aside, we’re hunkering down right here with y'all and hoping we all come through Hurricane Isaias safely.

Y’all take care of yourselves, your families, and each other. We look forward to seeing everyone back at The Races when this is behind us! ❀️🏁

We might not be able to pronounce this storm’s name, but we know the drill! πŸ˜‚πŸŒ€

We spent the day battening down the hatches at Southern Raceway, so here’s a little update from the track and a look at what we’ve got coming up once the storm gets out of here and we get back to racing!

All jokes aside, we hope everyone stays safe in the storm. Y’all take care of yourselves and each other. We’ll see everyone back at The Races soon! ❀️🏁

Due to Tropical Storm Isaias in the Gulf and its potential impacts on our area, this weekend’s races at Southern Raceway have been canceled. We want our fans, racers, and staff to have time to prepare and focus on their families’ safety.

We are currently exploring potential dates to make up our Season Championship races. However, any rescheduled event will not be a points race. We do not feel it would be fair to extend the points season beyond its originally scheduled end date when drivers may have other plans and obligations that prevent them from attending a makeup event.

We’re disappointed we won’t get to close out the points season together as planned, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding. We’ll share an update on a possible makeup date when we have more information.

Stay safe, everyone! 🏁

As of now, Season Championship Weekend is ON as planned for this Friday and Saturday, October 9–10 at Southern Raceway! πŸ†

We really want to get these races in, but we also want to be smart about the weather. We’re giving the forecast a little more time to develop, and we’ll let y’all know if anything changes.

We’ve got a BIG weekend planned with two nights of racing, bonus-level payouts, DOUBLE POINTS and our 2026 season champions getting crowned! πŸ”₯πŸ†

Make plans to join us and keep an eye right here for updates. We’ll see y’all at The Races! 🏁

It’s a FATHER-SON battle at the top! πŸ† Our Season Championship DOUBLEHEADER is THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY at Southern Raceway and Vintage races for $750 TO WIN as part of SATURDAY NIGHT’S program!

William Tirrell (19) leads the standings with a 23-point advantage over his father Bill Tirrell (65). William is in control, but with DOUBLE POINTS on the line, Dad is still within striking distance if the door opens!

Bill needs to finish at least 12 positions ahead of William in Saturday’s feature to move ahead in points. That gives William a solid cushion, but he still needs to finish the season strong to keep the championship in his hands.

Ricky Haugen (12) sits third, 41 points back, followed by Autumn Hull (13) at 56 back and Jerry Bohlman (43) at 78 back. All three will look to finish their points season on a high note and bring home a Season Championship feature trophy!

Can William finish the job, or will Bill make it a championship comeback? 🏁

We want our Season Championship races to be a big deal for every division, so we’re stepping things up for our final points weekend of the year!
πŸ’° Bonus-level payouts for EVERY division
πŸ† Trophies for the Top 3 in every Season Championship feature
🎀 Victory Lane interviews with each feature winner and 2026 points champion
⏱️ Hot lap/qualifying to determine heat race starting positions
🏁 NO INVERTS for feature lineups

Make plans to join us FRIDAY and SATURDAY for two nights of racing with 2026 Southern Raceway champions crowned BOTH NIGHTS! Bring the family and cheer on your favorites! 🏁 πŸ†

It doesn’t get closer than this! πŸ† Our Season Championship DOUBLEHEADER is THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY at Southern Raceway, and the Clyde's Well Service Pure Stock division heads into Friday’s $600-TO-WIN finale with a TIE at the top of the standings!

Jeremy Grenier (25J) and Terry Mayhair (94T) enter the weekend tied at 269 points. As long as they keep the other challengers behind them, the championship comes down to one simple question: Which one finishes ahead of the other in Friday night’s feature?

But they can’t lose sight of the drivers chasing them! With DOUBLE POINTS on the line, Ira Roberts (33) at 14 points back and Trey Davies (115) at 17 back both have a legitimate opportunity to close the gap if the leaders stumble. Aaron Wood (14) rounds out the top five, 25 points back with an outside shot if things go his way.

Two drivers tied for first, challengers within reach, and one race left to settle it! Who’s your pick to take home the Pure Stock championship? 🏁

It’s SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK at Southern Raceway! πŸ† We’re crowning our 2026 points champions THIS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, October 9–10! Throughout the week, we’ll break down each division’s points battle, starting with Late Model Sportsman.

Headlining FRIDAY NIGHT’S program with a $1,000-TO-WIN show, the Late Model Sportsman division has a tight championship battle with just SEVEN POINTS separating leader Osman Jones (9) and challenger Kody Cook (20). Nick Cuevas (31) sits 24 points back with an outside shot if the front two have any trouble in Friday's feature.

With DOUBLE POINTS on the line, every spot gained in the feature matters! Cook needs to finish at least four positions ahead of Jones to pass him in points. Cuevas needs to finish at least 13 spots ahead of Jones and nine ahead of Cook to leapfrog both and pull off an epic championship comeback.

Who’s your pick to take home the Late Model Sportsman championship? 🏁
