Halloween 2026 is all planned and building and painting the last of the walls is starting to happen! Increasing the square footage with a new elevator hopefully! Are you ready? I am looking for a couple more scare actors and some help to set up and break down this year. If you want to see the behind the scenes and building and break down, these are your opportunities!

Well, I can’t be so disappointed about low numbers of trick n treaters this year. It turns out that the mass majority of both home Haunters and professional haunters had reduced number of attendees by 75% to 90%.

We had 138 tot’rs this year. We can only look forward to 2026 with Halloween on Saturday! Building the remaining 8 wall sections, assembling earlier, and a few new headstones for 2026 with an additional dragon or 10 ,2026 will be another big year!

just got home and the awesome news is no wind damage on any of the haunt. now waiting for the electrician tomorrow to replace a bad and worn out breaker to get replaced!

Picking up new head stones then home to see the damage from the winds. We will see in 2 hours.

Got 7 more sections of haunted house walls up and secured. Tomorrow, build 10 new wall sections as he dungeon comes to completion. We will be one next Tuesday and on schedule.

What is it with people who volunteer to help, say they will be here to help at a certain time and no one shows up, sends a message or makes a phone call to tell me they had to cancel or whatever! People suck! Just like last year I’ve asked 3 times for help and EVERYONE flakes!

If you’re gonna make a commitment then show up. If you are not going to show up then don’t make the commitment.

So without ANY HELP I painted new walls, mowed all the haunt, set out another 40 lights, hung 18 Harry Potter candles in the haunted house, set up another 8 skeletons and made several repairs from wind damage!

More progress on the haunted house today in the rain and lasers for swamp came in today! I could use some help tomorrow ...
