I believe most of us can relate to this and wouldn't trade a single minute of our lives!

This picture will forever be one of my favorites. She had just walked out of the show ring. It was fair week, over 100 degrees, and instead of heading home to shower, cool off and call it a day, she grabbed her cheer uniform and headed out because she had somewhere else she needed to be.

A football game.
So there she went. Cheer uniform on, 4H bow still in her hair, show boots in her hands, leaving one part of her life and heading straight into another.

And I think this picture says so much about ag kids.They learn pretty young that sometimes you don’t get to pick the easy schedule. You feed before school. You practice after. You spend your weekends in barns and your summers sweating through fair week. You learn how to change clothes in the truck, eat supper on the road and somehow be in two places that both matter to you.

They learn to show up tired.
They learn to finish what they started. They learn that being committed to one thing doesn’t mean you can’t be committed to something else, too.

There are a thousand prettier pictures from that fair. Pictures in the show ring, pictures with banners, pictures where everybody was cleaned up and smiling.

But give me this one.

A little girl in a cheer uniform walking out of a livestock barn carrying her show boots on a 100-degree Oklahoma day.
