Our 4th Senior Spotlight of the week:
Vanessa Morrow
I started ballet and tap when I was 4 years old, and never gave it up! Along the years I’ve added jazz, hip hop, and contemporary.
My future plans, to receive a Studio Art degree from the University of Maine in Orono and becoming a tattoo artist.
My favorite memories at the studio were all of the silly things that were said during time spent at the studio and the inside jokes that followed.
I would like to tell the younger students what I wish I could tell myself; never give up. There are so many moments in life when you don’t know whether to govern up or keep going. The answer is always keep going. You always gotta win over whatever competition you’re against.

Our 3rd Senior Spotlight:
Harlow Keener
I started dancing at 13 years old in show choir, then I joined Studio One at the age of 14. I participated in hip hop, jazz, and ballet until my senior year, then decided to add contemporary to my schedule. I plan on becoming a therapist in the future to help people who struggle with serious issues regarding substance abuse and mental health. I would also like to continue to dance, sing, and play instruments wherever and whenever I can. My favorite memories from this journey are the moments when we are performing on stage in front of a loud and loving audience. Not only that, but being able to perform with the people I love most. If I had to tell younger dancers one last thing, it would be this: Never quiet the soul in you that's itching to dance. With every step you take, radiate with confidence. Don't hide your potential, embrace it. Don't run from the spotlight, continue to chase it.

2nd Senior Spotlight of the week:
Eva Blanchette
I started tap in first grade, I added ballet and jazz in third grade. I continued jazz until middle school where I took a few years off. In high school I joined jazz again and added hip hop all four years.

In the fall I’m going to the University of Southern Maine as a Psychology major and music minor. My dream is to one day combine my two passions through studies in music therapy while still playing guitar and singing wherever I can.

My favorite memories from my time at the studio consisted of late nights, laughs, and most importantly: making Sandy proud.

If I could tell the younger students one thing it would be to push yourself to work your hardest every time you dance. You’ll never look back and wish you didn’t give it your all.

We have 4 Seniors this Year at
Studio One Dance & Acrobatic Center. We would like to Spotlight over the last week of Dance/Acro classes before the Annual Recital on May 28-May 30.

Emma Ayotte:
I started dancing when I was three years old, which means this year will be my 15th year dancing at Studio One! For classes I am currently taking: ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and contemporary. However, in the past I have also taken hip hop.
My future plans are to attend USM for health sciences on track for occupational therapy! My plan is to audition for the Dance Team at USM
Some of my favorite memories at the studio have always been just being able to see my friends. Seeing everyone being able to do something they love.
After moving to Lincoln I was able to keep my connections at Studio One and being able to have some normalcy in my life after that change. The way everyone at Studio One was so supportive is something that I will never forget.
One thing I would like to share with the younger students; to keep in mind, never give up something you love; if you love to dance then don't give it up, no matter what anyone else has to say about it.
