Musicians of all ages, skill levels, and styles are welcome to bring an instrument, sing along, or simply enjoy an evening of live community music. Come make music, meet neighbors, and celebrate the creative spirit of our region. Admission is free, and all are welcome!

Today is the day! Join us at the Boreal Music Festival from 12:00–5:00 PM for an afternoon of live music, community, and celebration under the tent on the lawn. Two weeks from today, the Boreal Theater will host a Student Plein Air Painting experience in partnership with the Woodworth Homestead/Rhodora-the Frederic Church Camp in Millinocket, as part of the Reflections Series, while also celebrating the 200th anniversary of Frederic Edwin Church’s birth. Students will create artwork outdoors inspired by the Katahdin landscape while exploring plein air painting, observation, creativity, and connection to place. Boreal Theater’s Annual Boreal Music Festival is almost here! Join us Saturday, May 23, from 12:00–5:00 PM for an afternoon of live music, community, and celebration under the tent on the lawn featuring Breakin’ Strings, Tricky Britches, and The Acadian Aces. Enjoy local food vendors throughout the day, delivery options from Katahdin General Store, hot dogs and hamburgers from the Knights of Columbus, donuts from Appalachian Trail Cafe, food trucks The Lunch Wagon and Rizza’s Kitchen , plus mac & cheese, lemon-lime aid, and more from Yum Bake Shop.
