They don’t get bonuses.
They don’t get trophies for dedication.
They don’t get headlines.
What they do get…
Is rain on a Tuesday night.
Mud on their boots.
And responsibility for other people’s children.
They give up evenings with their own families to help yours.
They finish work and start coaching.
They miss family meals.
They sacrifice weekends.
They will spend their own money on equipment/kids.
They plan sessions late at night when nobody’s watching.
They don’t do it for money.
They don’t do it for praise.
They do it because a child smiling, improving, growing in confidence… is worth more than any pay cheque.
Volunteer coaches are the real heartbeat of football.
Without them — there is no game. ❤️⚾️🥎

🚨 We Need 6 More Girls to Stay In-House! 🥎

The Recreation Department is currently 4 girls short (prefer 6 to be solid) of forming TWO in-house softball teams for ages 11–14. If we can fill these spots, our girls won’t have to travel and can play right here at home!

If you have an 11, 12, 13, or 14-year-old female athlete who would like to play softball this season, please INBOX the Recreation page ASAP for details.

Recreation signup update. We need 6 to 8 more kids for 3 teams of 8U Boys. 2 to 4 more kids for 3 teams of 10 U boys. 3 to 4 more kids for one team to travel for 8 U girls. 2 to 3 more kids for one team to travel for 10 U girls. Please get the word out.

Had a great day first day of our 12 U football district tournament at Jenkins County recreation department. Come out Monday night November 17 at 7:00 and watch Jenkins County vs Bleckley County and the championship game Tuesday November 18 at 6:00. The winner of our game vs winner of Screven County vs Jefferson County.

Coach Steven Holley, Matt Jackson, and Chris Oglesby have led the 8u football team to a very successful year and they will enter the 2025 District tournament in Montgomery 💪UNDEFEATED💪 this Saturday. Their first game will be against at 10:00 am against Claxton Rec.
