3 YEARS!
WOW. We’ve really been doing this for three years!
It all started with chai at Debraj & Anjali’s, where we met Prateek & Ruchi, talked about life, kids and music… and somehow, chai turned into an audition!

A few weeks later, we had our first jam. Most of us were meeting for the first time. No plan, no format, no idea where this was going. Shrini played guitar for six hours, Saumya discovered she could sing, and somehow that wonderfully imperfect evening became the beginning of Basement Beats.

A few jams later, Debjeet suggested a ticketed show. I remember thinking, “Who the heck is going to pay to listen to us?”
Three years later… look at us!

To our original five OGs : Debraj, Prateek, Debjeet, Shrini & Saumya, thank you for saying YES before there was a name, a format, or a plan.

Since then, so many incredible singers, musicians, friends and families have become part of this journey. We’ve explored Bollywood, Sufi, Ghazal, Classical, Love, Rock and so much more.

But somewhere along the way, Basement Beats became about more than music. It became about people, friendships, laughter, beautifully imperfect performances and meaningful connections.
To everyone who has ever been on stage, played an instrument, helped behind the scenes, bought a ticket, brought a friend, or simply listened THANK YOU.

You are Basement Beats!!!!

And to the original five…

LOOK WHAT WE STARTED!
