We’re thrilled that Paper Mill has long been an incubator where new musicals are cultivated. In 2024, Gun and Powder (now titled Wanted Musical) delighted our audiences. The New York Times called it the “type of audacious and rollicking story that’s too often missing from American stages.”

The new musical, set in the late 1800s in Texas, originated from the family lore of the book writer and lyricist Angelica Chéri. Its journey to Broadway took a dozen years.

Tonight The Great Gatsby Musical celebrates 1,000 performances on Broadway! 🎉

When The Great Gatsby made its world-premiere here at PMP in 2023, the audience reaction was nothing short of spectacular. Fans embraced and celebrated the show, which played to full houses every night.

In 2024, the party roared onto Broadway. Linda Cho was awarded the Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical. Productions launched in Seoul and London, and the national tour launched in January 2026. Night after night, audiences continue to delight in the green light.

We're so grateful to have been part of The Great Gatsby's journey. Here's to the party roaring on and on and on! 🥂

In February 2026, we were honored to bring Come From Away to our stage. The musical is based on the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers who were grounded in the small Canadian town of Gander in the wake of 9/11.

Kevin Tuerff, one of the many real-life people whose stories inspired the musical, spoke to our cast about the kindness he experienced in Gander in the days following September 11, 2001. He was so moved that he started Pay It Forward 9/11.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we hope you'll join us in honoring the lives lost by performing a good deed in your community. 💙

We had the BEST summer with so many incredible young performers! This year, a record 616 students attended summer classes and camps and 114 New Jersey high schools across 19 counties participated in our Rising Star Awards program. 💫
