Marin Theatre Marin Theatre is a home for brave and thoughtfully curated professional theater, art and events in the San Francisco Bay Area. https://linktr.ee/marintheatre

Marin Theatre Company is a professional nonprofit theater organization located in Marin County's Mill Valley, serving as the Bay Area's home for award-winning new American plays. We produce six mainstage shows each season (September - July) in our intimate 231-seat theater and have been generously funded by Norton J. "Sky" Cooper to support new American playwrights with two annual playwriting prizes: the Sky Cooper New American Play Prize and the David Calicchio Emerging American Playwright Prize. We also bring professional Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) to our stages and though a touring program to Bay Area schools with our four-play Family Series season. Our Education department serves Bay Area schools through a wide variety of programming year-round (both in schools and on our campus) through performance and production classes, play analysis and playwriting classes and 8 weeks of summer camp programming. When you come visit, you can enjoy b**r, w**e, spirits, coffee, tea and sweets served in our cafe—and you can always bring your drinks into our theater!. Before Betrayal, there was a remarkable creative connection.

In 1989, director Carey Perloff worked alongside legendary playwright Harold Pinter in New York, developing a relationship with his work that would span decades.

These rare photographs, captured by Tom Chargin, offer a glimpse into their time together during rehearsals at Classic Stage Company and with the cast of Pinter’s The Birthday Party.

Now, Perloff returns to Pinter’s world as director of Betrayal at Marin Theatre—a riveting exploration of love, memory, and deception, told in reverse.
