Thank you all so much for coming out to this week’s in-person auditions! 🎭✨

Please note that we will not be holding in-person callbacks. If you auditioned in person, your initial audition gave us everything we needed, and you are fully under consideration.

If you submitted virtually, you have until Monday, October 5 to submit your video audition. If you received a virtual callback, you also have until noon on Monday, October 5. 🎥⏰

Thank you again to everyone who auditioned! Those who are cast will be notified by email as soon as possible, within one to two weeks.

Because we had over a couple hundred people participate through video submissions and in-person auditions, we may not be able to personally reach everyone who was not cast, but we will do our best. We will also post our official cast list on our social media channels, so please keep an eye out there! 🌟📜

Join the Holiday Production of “Frozen” at Millbrook Playhouse!

Millbrook Playhouse is seeking creative team members, designers, and production staff for our upcoming holiday production of “Frozen”!

OPEN POSITIONS & DETAILS:

Musical Director
* Details: Lead and rehearse actors in vocal technique, harmonies, and performance delivery for musicals. Adapt and interpret musical scores as needed within the production context. Comfortable teaching with tracks.
* Dates: On or about Nov. 14th to opening Dec. 4. (option to have a shorter contract if needed)

Choreographer
* Details: Design and stage choreography for the production; must be comfortable working with young actors.
* Dates: Will start in late October working with youth performers (one or two weekends), then with the adult cast from Nov. 14 to opening

Carpenters
* Duties: Construct, install, and paint all scenic elements.
* Date: Late October / Early November | 1–2 week contracts

Costume Designer
* Duties: Create detailed sketches/mood boards, and source, purchase, or construct costumes within budget.
* Dates: Start date TBD through opening on December 4th

Lighting Designer
* Duties: Design and execute lighting using the rep plot; must be willing to hang and focus lights.
* Dates: Nov. 27 – Dec. 4

Sound Mixer/Designer
* Duties: Design and mix tracks/live mics, source sound effects, and operate equipment including a Behringer X-32 mixer.
* Dates: Nov. 27 – Dec. 13

Stage Manager
* Duties: Manage rehearsals, coordinate with a professional cast and young actors (ages 11–17), oversee production schedules, manage technical elements, and issue daily reports.
* Dates: Nov. 14 – Dec. 13

COMPENSATION & PERKS:
* Compensation: Pay varies based on experience and the scope of responsibilities, with structured ranges and negotiation options.

🎭 Note to parents and students who are interested in auditioning for Frozen. ❄️

Due to the demanding nature of this production, general casting for student roles is intended for 6th–12th graders with prior experience.

However, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for students with previous stage experience or other relevant backgrounds. Additionally, exceptions will be made for younger performers who have previously participated in Youth Ensemble shows, provided they demonstrate the maturity needed for the production!
