The Millbrook Playhouse Board of Directors and staff would like to extend a big "Thank You" to everyone who joined us for the Clinton County Economic Partnership's Time Out networking event last night. Approximately 125 business owners, employees, and friends joined us for the announcement of the Clinton County Tourism Grant recipients and a sneak peek at Millbrook Playhouse's 63rd season. Special thanks to Melissa Dally, Megan Wheeler, and Louis Anastos from the partnership. Appreciations to Graze by Tj and Stella A's Bar & Grill for the food. Also, sincere appreciation to the performers for giving us a highlight of our season, including Shannon Agnew, Jackson Pavlik, Rubie Natal, Taylor Elliott, and all the wonderful Orphans from Annie.

We are very proud to be part of this wonderful community in Clinton County!

Honoring Our Heroes: A Sentimental Journey

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage is the foundation of our freedom, and their stories live on in our hearts.

In 2021, during the production of 'Yours Sincerely,' we were inspired by the timeless melodies of "A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square." It reminds us of the world these heroes fought to defend—a world filled with peace, love, and the simple beauty of a song in the air.

"There was magic abroad in the air..."

Just as the nightingale sang through the darkness, the legacy of our fallen service members continues to inspire hope and gratitude in our community.

Can't make a monetary donation? There are many ways to help us get ready for the 2026 season. We are looking for everything from "stuff" to "skills."

🍟 Snacks for the actors and staff

Please note that this post was never meant to be a forum for people to fight, we have enough of that. It’s simply a sign, and just a post. Kindly be respectful, and let’s hope our shows receive as much engagement, because our goal is to promote good theatre, sell tickets and keep the doors open.

To the person who found our “I ❤️ Lock Haven” sign so "triggering" that you felt the need to destroy it: We’re truly sorry a piece of corrugated plastic caused you that much distress. It must be exhausting.

But instead of tearing it up, we’re inviting you to a conversation. In fact, come back, and I’ll personally buy you a ticket to a show. Our goal is to present something for everyone, from Annie to Fun Home.

However, you can tear up every sign we own, but it won’t change the DNA of our theatre. Millbrook Playhouse is, and always will be, a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, religion, or sexual identity.

A quick word of advice: I dare you to find any form of entertainment that isn't created by a diverse group of people. That is what makes art so interesting. If that triggers you, perhaps it's time to cancel your Netflix account.

As for the rest of us? We’ll be having a great time at the Playhouse because, as we always say, “Everyone is welcome at the Barn.”

Ready to move from the stage to the craft? 🎭

Introducing the "Millbrook Mastery Series," a premier summer intensive designed to bridge the gap between "performing" and "mastering." This one-week immersive experience is built for the hungry performer: whether you are an intermediate student ready for the next level or a dedicated artist craving professional-grade challenges, we are here to push your limits.

We are thrilled to announce that Marie Fox will lead this series! With over 35 years of experience performing, directing, and teaching, Marie brings a lifetime of expertise, including her work as the founder of the "Without a Cue" and "Liquor & Laughter" improv troupes, and will bring it directly into our rehearsal room.

Our Mastery Curriculum includes:
* The Voice: Vocal Technique & Interpretation
* Cracking the Code: Text Analysis & Character Development
* The Power of the Ensemble: Group Scenes & Musical Numbers
* The Body: Movement & Dance
* The Audition: Learn Audition Techniques
* The Performance Practicum: From Page to Public Showcase

The camp concludes with a Work-In-Progress Showcase, inviting family and friends to observe the techniques and progress made during the week.
