Contract SOUND SHOCK and POWER FRENZY is a real thing, let us explain. You've found a beautiful location. You think that you have asked all the right questions then, after signing the contract you find out they have sound restrictions! SOUND SHOCK! No power source? Oh no, now you've hit the POWER FRENZY! How do we avoid this? Don't worry East Coast Productions, The DJ is here to help, we have compiled a list of questions to ask your potential event venue.

1) Do you permit amplified sound in the area in which I'm booking? (Some venues only permit amplified sound indoors/or outdoors. So its important to verify the area/room that you are booking permits amplified sound.)

2) What time can music start and what time does it have to end? (Most venues have hours that they permit amplified sound.)

3) Does your venue have a decibel limit? (This is probably the most common SOUND SHOCK offender. Some venues have a decibel/volume limit due to the area that they are located.)

4) Does the space I am booking have a power source? (Not every venue plans for an outside power supply. While this is not a venue deal breaker its important to know if you book this location that you may have to get an outside power source such as a generator. Don't worry if you love the location, we have generators for rent.)

5) Where are the power sources located? (Power source location is key. As the cord gets longer, the current carrying capacity of the cord gets lower. Which means that after so many feet you will no longer get the power needed to run equipment.)

After a year long shutdown the entire staff of East Coast Productions, The DJ would like to publicly announce we are officially back open!
