What if your next creative project didn't require buying everything new?

This September, Milford Makes is turning the Firehouse Gallery into a mini Creative Reuse Center for one weekend.

We'll be bringing together donated creative materials and making them available to makers, crafters, teachers, artists, families, and anyone who loves to make.

Fabric. Paper. Craft supplies. Unexpected treasures. And probably a few things you didn't know you needed until you saw them. 😉

You've probably seen fabric art before.

But have you ever made art with fabric and no sewing? 👀

Kinusaiga is a Japanese technique that uses pieces of fabric, a prepared surface, and a little patience to create beautifully detailed images.

This September, we're bringing Kinusaiga to Milford Makes with a workshop inspired by Walnut Beach.

You'll learn the technique and create your own 8×10 coastal scene to take home.

No sewing machine. No stitching. Just fabric, creativity, and a completely different way to make art.

Something BIG is coming to Milford Makes this September!

Join us September 25–27 for our Creative Reuse Pop-Up Shop—a weekend celebrating creative reuse, community, and making. We’ll have art & craft supplies for sale, plus a reception, a kids’ pop-up, a hands-on workshop, and a Milford Makers MeetUp!

We’re still putting all the pieces together, so stay tuned for dates, times, and more details. 👀

September 25–27. You’re going to want to be there.

Interested in helping make it happen? Let us know if you’d like to volunteer! We’ll be looking for help with setup, the shop, activities, and more.
